We've all been expecting this, the GS remakes are now confirmed! The games are named HeartGold and SoulSilver.
This is totally real, it's on the official Japanese pokemon website.
Shall we discuss?

Hip hip hooray! My favorite games will have new life breathed into them! I can no longer play my old games because they don't save games anymore

, so this is the best news in the pokemon world since the original release of this game. (At least for me anyway.)

Btw, I found out recently that Hoenn and Kanto take place at the same time. And Sinnoh and Johto take place at the same time, but 3 years later. Therefore, in the remakes, you MAY be able to see not just what changed to Kanto (Cinnabar Eruption, Electric Train), but also what changed to Hoenn in 3 years!!! Also, I think we'll be seeing a possibility of upgraded Day/Night features.

No. They are wonderful names. While I would prefer Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver, Heart Gold and Soul Silver are wonderful names!

I'm not that fond of the names, but I agree with Squirrelay that this is the best news in ages! Even if we all expected this to happen, with the games featuring day and night too XD
Yeah, Gold and Silver definitely were my favorites games, and the starters are as awesome as ever!

And let's not forget they introduced the Ruins of Alph! ;P

Since they didn't do a remake of Yellow to go along with Leaf Green and Fire Red, I highly doubt they will do a remake of Crystal, especially if we take into account that the G/S remakes will already have new features as well. But of course, nothing can be ruled out in these times of economic crisis. Pokémon always cashes in, after all.

Anyway, I side with those who think the new names are great. I consider them highly fitting. Also, I like Gracidea's idea for the name of the hypothetic Crystal remake.
