"... Professor?"
Edison knocked once more on the door.
"Professor... you in?"
Edison sighed and paced back and forth. The Anchore Lab's steel door intimidated Edison... what was in there, even he didn't know. "I've been in a lab for like, half my life," said Edison, "but this... this is just scary." Edison sighed once more and walked up to the door, rapping on it again. "Professor? Are you in there?"
The steel door flew open. Edison yelped and jumped back, taking a second to recover before wandering into the lab. Inside, fluorescent lamps illuminated the room, glinting off of the linoleum floors and somewhat into Edison's eye. Everything in there looked so sterile, so clean... fitting, it seemed, for a Pokemon lab. Edison walked over to a desk, with several Pokeballs in a large plastic bin. Each one looked the same -- red and white, with a single button adorning the front. Edison extended a hand into the bin...
Edison pulled out a single Pokeball. He examined it -- it was just like any other. However, it felt heavy. It felt as if something was inside. Edison pondered over opening it or not. Open it? Close it? Edison sighed and gave in to temptation and pressed the button on the Pokeball.
A beam of light shot from the Pokeball, blinding Edison for a few seconds. He rubbed his eyes and looked across the room to find out just what had come out of the Pokeball...
