@Cacapulse: Exactly, just as there aren´t penguins in the North Pole.
@Flarsable: Well, I could tell you the whole riddle, but to be honest I was thinking of a different version than that of Cacapulse. It would be better if you looked it up. Essentially they tell you about a fact which can only occur in the north pole (you walk south 40 steps, east 40 steps and north 40 steps and arrive at the same place). Then they say you find a bear and ask you what is its color.
@soble92: I don´t recall who but I think someone answered a riddle like that, with "newspaper" as the answer.

A bull walked 20 steps north, 50 steps east, then backed up 10 stepss west. What direction is its tail pointing to?

Depends on the position of the tail. It could swing back and forth in every direction.
