Romulus squinted into the cave, thinking quickly. He could simply send Lupup to fetch the stolen Items, staying phased out until getting to them, but phasing out of solid form didn't necessarily mean she wouldn't be seen, and the Murkrow could flee with their objects after realizing Lupup couldn't be harmed; or they could simply ignore her, since she'd have to phase back to a solid to grab the pokeballs, leaving her vulnerable to the Murkrow and Murraven. So no, that wouldn't work. He couldn't sneak in, and he doubted if Florabloom could help much. He could turn back, of course, come back later with a new pokemon partner able to defeat the flock or drive their attention away from him, but no, all his pokeballs were in there, empty of filled, and besides, he wouldn't turn his back on his pokemon. What could he do? He could act, he knew, but how? He could leave, but why? He shook his head and smiled sadly. "I don't suppose either of you have a plan?" He asked his pokemon, forcing a laugh.

. . . and enough time for Lupup to phaze out of solidity. The amlet dropped to the ground, and the Murkrow started diving for it, nearly hitting each other in their insane divebombing.
Romulus began his sprint into the cave, knowing his time was almost up before it began. Despite this, he searched the caves patiently until, finally, he came by his possesions. Breathing a sigh of relief, he placed his pokeballs in his pocket, strapped on his VS Seeker, and put away the miscellaneous items - including, he thought, smiling, a Pearl that had caught his attention nearby. Now he just had to make it out - and the cave exit was in sight. Running quickly, Romulus began the final leg for his and his pokemon's freedom.

Romulus was nearly thrown off his feet as he grabbed his remaining pokeballs. "Bell! Cat! Out! NOW!" Not wanting to risk throwing the pokeballs, he realised the pokemon out of their pokeballs right in his hands. In a flash, his two final pokemon appeared. Now where was Lupup? he thought. She was, as it happened, trying her hardest to keep the Murkrow distracted. She had fought her way through to the Amulet again, and was leading the Murkrow as far away as possible. something had gone wrong, she knew, but what could she . . . Suddenly, Lupup threww the Amulet, swinging into Florabloom's outstreched paws. with the Murkrow no giving chase to the Grass pokemon, she raced back to the cave. Realizing she couldn't help now, he yelled a few orders to his pokemon before hiding himself and allowing the Haze to dissapear. When Murraven finally looked into the room, there was nothing left of its intruders. It knew they hadn't escaped, so where were they? And then, off to the side, it saw the boy pulling around a corner . . .

((OOC: Fine. I wasn't hoping for an excuse at all, let alone one that almost makes up for the fact that you're breaking out a Murraven without, as of yet, a real explanation; so I suppose I'm waiting for this "next post" that hopefully will make me feel a little bit better about this. And did you really think I'd run away?)) An instant of fear went through Romulus's spine as he felt the Murkrow's flesh. This was not going well, even though he now saw that there were only a large-ish handful of Murkrow in the cave. By his count, he had sixteen adversaries, and three allies. With his luck, he might win yet. "Ditto! Do whatever Murraven did!" Obeying the command, his pokemon's eyes glowed a deep red, and suddenly the Murkrow started screeching. "Excellent, now they're confused," he muttered, then, to Ditto: "Keep it up! For all they know, Murraven's the imposter!" He knew that wasn't true, of course - although Ditto could imitate Murraven's magic call, he was sided with the human - it would take little time for the Murkrow to figure it out, and in the meantime. . . . "Bell! Cat! Tie 'em up!" Suddenly the cavern was filled with string and vines - a good half of the Murkrow, maybe more, escaped, but around five were now tied up just as their master had been. From the Murkrow's eyes, they didn't know who was the boss, and they now had to let out their tied-up comrades - a chore that wouldn't take long, but it would be enough. "Now! Get the leader!" Sure enough, vines and string were suddenly hurled at the Murraven, free from protection as its minions helped its minions. And though Murraven wouldn't know it, this was just another distraction as Romulus ran towards it.
