"Nidoran! Use another Leer! Bricket, Harden and protect Nidoran!" Bricket leapt forward, it's body becoming hard and glossy, and suddenly it looked like Scratch would be a bad idea. Nidoran then popped out with a Leer before taking cover behind Bricket.

Lupup stopped, flinching. "Lupup, Growl!" Lupup obeyed, eager to stay away from Bricket and Nidoran.

"Ditto, Supersonic! Cover your ears, Lupup!" Lupup obeyed, as did Ditto, and Romulus covered his ears as well.

"Hey, I have a question, who-ever-you are. Who exactly are you?" At this rate, Romulus cared little about the battle: who was this man? was the only thing he wanted to learn. I need to keep my head in the game, he thought, but I'd like to know who my opponent is. Looking once more at the katana, he added, and why he's armed.

"..." Cain looked the boy over carefully and smirked. Nidoran was luckily blocked from the supersonic by Bricket, but Bricket caught a full blast. It looked a bit out of it.

"Well... I suppose you can find a little about me. I am Cain Songsun - although you may know me through the media as Thieth. I have purged the planet of the likes of Team Galactic, Magma, Snagem, Rocket... Oh you must hear how it sounds to shove a person into a Dusclops and hear them scream as they're crushed in the black hole... Anyway, my mission is to rid the earth of the likes as that. A holy mission for this God-forsaken planet. Now then, let's get on with this battle! Bricket, Bullet Tackle!" Bricket began leaping to and fro, off rocks and trees, everywhere in a Tackle. Soon a blur of hard rock bullet was charging through the place.

"Ditto! Harden! Lupup, protect Ditto!" Romulus called, trying his hardest to watch Bricket. Ditto seemed to gleam as it crouched down, and Lupup sprung itself between the two pokemon.

"Cain Songsun. . . . Why exactly did you ask me to battle? As you might have noticed, I'm not a Galactic / Magma / Snagem / Rocket member. Its true my past actions haven't exactly been legal, but it appears to me you've been fighting several other trainers lately." Romulus chose his words carefully, noticing once more the wicked katana that could easily slit his throat.

((OOC: Hmmm . . . What level do you think Lupup'd be at at this point, Decku? Just need a rough estimate.))

Cain watched as Bricket slammed itself into Lupup, sending it sprawling. He looked at the trainer and said coldly, "I envision myself, the new God of this world. Eventually it'll be up to me who I shall keep close, who I shall punish dearly. You could say, this is a test - I wish to see your capabilities. If you are lucky, I might have use for you in the future, it all depends on performance and will."

((On this note: You have a basic idea of Cain already correct? Let me elaborate for you. Cain is a man who believes this world is corrupt, and thinks the only way to purge it of evil is to fight it back in any way possible. He's an anti-hero in the worst form. His recent actions in Bombur consisted of stealing a Holliguana from Aaron's Lab, launching a massive full-scale attack on Bastion - destroying the city and imprisoning half its inhabitants (which, BTW was the most awesome collaboration I've ever done) and finally attempting an extortion of Huck the Woodcutter, however, even though his actions are SEVERELY evil, he is blinded from that fact and believes he is being justice by hunting down the evil teams. His most recent quarry is Team Uppercut))

Despite getting hit and flying for a time in the air, Lupup seemed unscathed by the attack. "Lupup! Use the momentum, jump off the tree, then Scratch!" Lupup obliged, launching itself off a tree it was about to hit, preparing to Scratch Nidoran. "Cain Songsun. . . . You've been to Kanto, then? Were you ever near Lavender Town?"

((OOC: For any of this cheasy idea to work, I'm rounding Lupup up to Lv. 11))

"Lupup! Try to dodge!" Romulus called, trying to rap his mind about what he was hearing. But trying to dodge was no use. Lupup launched itself at the spines, and both pokemon took damage. Lupup, know badly injured, didn't have much time before it was knocked unconscious. "What should I do. . . . Lupup doesn't have much HP left, and Ditto is a really low level compared to them. . . . "

A little bit away into the woods, a Taillow flew through the forest, content. Hearing noises near its nest, it rushed towards the grave, and swoped out of the forest into the field of grass to see its mate unconscious. "Taillow!" it Growled, ready to fight.

((OOC: No, its not going to fight with me.))

Seeing the chance he needed, Romulus called, "Lupup! Scratch the Taillow!" Lupup stumbled, then launched itself at the pokemon. "Tail!" it cried, and attacked back with a Peck. "Phase!" Was all Romulus called, remembering that Lupup could phase in and out of solidity. Lupup understood, and Taillow's beak went through nothing. "Now flip around, Lupup!" Lupup, now behind Taillow, let gravity take over as it fell on Taillow, Scratching until the bird pokemon was indeed knocked out.

Level up - Lupup

"Lupup! Hoping you leveled up over there!" No duh, that was the point, to give her more HP to survive the poison. I'm hoping she gained more Hp than she lost in that time. . . . "Lupup! Come over here!" Lupup did so, and Romulus whispered, "Lupup, forget the battle. We're taking something from this guy. And next you use Scratch, phase through the pokemon and face Theith." Knowing Cain couldn't've heard him, he pretended to finish the battle: "Ditto! Tackle Nidoran! Lupup, Scratch Nidoran too!" Let's hope this'll work. . .

((OOC: Just for reference:
Ditto - Lv. 3 - 10 HP
Lupup - Lv. 12 - 7 HP, poisoned. ))

((OOC: And yes this was a bit cheasy but I don't think I broke any rules, I just thought creatively.))

"Ditto! Harden! Lupup, now!" Ditto curled and Hardened on the spot and Lupup used her ability to phase through the pokemon. She faced Cain, and Romulus called, "You're done, Cain. Lupup! grab his katana with a Bite!" Lupup sprang forward, opened her mouth, and aimed or Cain's katana.

"Ah, Lupup, grabbing it now's a bad idea," Romulus saitd, noticing that Lupup was about to grab the unsheathed weapon.

"This is about. . . . You wouldn't care." Romulus said, trying to think. What now? He's armed and he's angry. He's capable of murder, too. . . . Lupup can't do anything, he'd kill her, and Ditto can't get at him with the pokemon between him and Cain. Great.

Romulus looked around the glade, but found no weapon that would help him. Deciding to keep talking, Romulus said simply: "I don't like the way you handle things, Cain. Most Team Galactic Members didn't know what they were doing, yet you kill them. Team Aqua and Magma learned their lessons, yet you kill them." Raising his voice slightly to cover the noise about to be made by his new plan, Romulus finished, "And Rocket grunts are idiots and the leader learned his lesson (I think), yet you kill them." He was hoping Cain hadn't heard the small 'dink' noises as he talked.

((It was - I have a truce with him now but... Well, I still haven't forgiven him for what he said about my girlfriend. She's the one who asked for a truce though - so I can't really argue. If anything, it's more like if he ever says anything nasty about her again, he doesn't get a second chance))

Cain sighed, but kept the katana at the ready, "That, boy, is merely a difference in opinion. Obviously, the sick cannot be permitted to contaminate the healthy. They must not remain. That's the way it is. I will decide who lives in my future world. You'll see.

Suddenly, Lupup fainted. Romulus smiled. That was his cue. "Return, Lupup!" he called, masking a small pf-to noise with the sound of Lupup's pokeball. "The battle's over. Do you have anything for Lupup? I suppose you're plan is fine. I was thinking irrationally," Romulus fibbed, wishing now he hadden't spoken his opinion so much. "If you could, I'd like some for the road, too. Ditts isn't doing any better, and he could be knocked out any second."

This isn't going to work, Romulus thought, but it's all I have.

"HO- Only if you give me a revive for Lupup!" Romulus cried, shuffling slightly. How does he know? Realizing his request was likely to be unanswered, Romulus sighed. "Fine, I'll show you. . . . " he said, moving out of the way, head down. Suddenly, before Cain could even regester what he was seeing, Romulus called, "Caterpie! String Shot! Bellsprout, Vine Whip! Wrap him onto the tree!" where Romulus had just stood, two weak pokemon stood waiting. They did as they were told.

Romulus, in the midst of the battle, had caught these two pokemon as they had scurried across the glade. They had originally come to see what had casued the commotion, but, seeing two trainers, had tried to run off before they were caught in the battle. Romulus, seeing them, had come up with this plan as he looked around for a weapon. They weren't the only pokemon, naturally, as the forest was filled with many different types. Romulus had singled them out for two reasons: Their attacks and their tendency to be caught in a pokeball without being harmed. In truth, he had tried to catch a second Caterpie, but it turned out stronger than the others and was able to get away.

"Its over."

The thief's eyes narrowed, "Quite." The vine and thread tying him down was cut away in a swift motion, the man stood, katana at the ready, thoroughly angered by this outbreak.

"Nasty surprise boy, but you certainly know what you're doing. I value people like you but honestly, I'm not quite sure this kind of behavior is... acceptable," and he gestured to the trees. A Duskclops emerged, followed by an Alakazam and Missoto.

"Now I wonder, is this wise? Why don't you tell me why you just tried to bind me, boy. You better talk smoothly and truthfully. Alakazam can tell if you lie, and I'm quite sure you don't wanna have to choose between being driven crazy, being throttled, or being dragged into a rift in time-space." And he pointed to Alakazam, Missoto and Duskclops respectively. ((I fansubbed an entire episode of the Tsubasa OVA on my own - lol. Anyway, very nice RPing. Nice use of explaining and journalism. Looking forward to your contribution to the RPG in the future))

"Nice pokemon there," Romulus said, pointing to the three powerful pokemon nearby. In truth, he should have expected this. "Well, the truth is, I don't like you're style, Cain. Obviously you want to purge the Earth, so I can see where you're coming form in this, but killing people. . . . Isn't my dial." Oops. Freudian slip. Romulus caughed, then continued nervously, which was obvious as his fingers twitched and the fact he started to perspire. "Umm. . . . As I was saying, I don't think killing them is the answer. I was going to tie you up because, well, I thought otherwise you'd do something like this. He he he. . . . " Finally, Romulus stuck his hands in his pockets, though fabric stuck up randomly, a sign his fingers were still twitching. A small time later, Romulus whispered, "Help."

"Help from who?" Asked a bemused thief, "Who's going to help you boy?" Then the thief laughed and grinned, "You know, I don't think I liked that comment, maybe I should..." He motioned to Duskclops and his smirk grew as the boy shrank in fear.

"You see boy, though that was... more or less, an honest answer, it wasn't the whole truth. Alakazam can tell as much. I'm growing weary of your foolishness. You are stronger then this... Maybe, I should teach you a lesson!" With that, he pointed to the Caterpie, "Alakazam, tear it apart with PSYCHIC!" And Alakazam pointed. A blue light engulfed Caterpie and it was lifted in the the air. A flock of Murkrow could be seen in the cloudy sky. The Caterpie squirmed in discomfort as it was lifted. It was slowly being ripped apart at the middle by the psychic pokemon when-!

Anthony ran hurriedly down the path after a flock of Murkrow. Another flock was hot on his heels, he had to keep running to get back his items, and to avoid being attacked. He sighed in relief as Myrath knocked the remaining out of the way. Breatheless, but he still went on. He broke into a grove of trees, and-!

BAM! A teenage boy with long, black hair that fell into his eyes, rammed into Alakazam! This was enough for the psychic pokemon to release Caterpie, which was saved by a startled Ledior. The boy groaned and got up, and looked surprised to see he was on top of an Alakazam. "I always thought I'd be on top of my girlfriend if anything... " he muttered jokingly. Then he frowned, "Wait... What the devil is an Alakazam doing in the Decorus Woods?!" He got up, and looked into the ice cold stare of the red-haired man. The one person he wished to see and not see ever again.

"CAAIIN!" The boy raged. He got up, brushed himself off, and not keeping his eyes off the villain, he walked over towards Romulus. Then he stopped, and looked confused a moment, "Hang on... Who's there?" He had just noticed Romulus' presence.

Meanwhile, Ledior dropped off a grateful Caterpie, and continued it's pursuit of the Murkrow that Anthony had inevitably forgotten. Following it, were Stalker and Aipom, both committed to finish what their compulsive trainer had started and to make a clear path for when the trainer remembered. Myrath had stayed behind.

((O_O, just combined our stories, that okay?"
