Chapter 1: A new story foretold

Kevin, a misunderstood Sableye by most pokemon, sat by a tree with a scar on his arm and a depressing look in his eye. He was abused in the past, which scared his heart.
He holds a most hateful past that gave a mysterious energy to him. What that energy he himself only knows.

Bifrost sighed as he walked through the forest, his breath fogging slightly as it condensed the water in the air around it. "Tell me again why we're walking through this forest?" he whined to his companion, a Charmander named Draco. "Because you need to get out moe, and a walk will do you some good." Some leaves rustled in the trees around them. "REVENGE!" "REVENGE!" "REVENGE!" cried three Shadow Pidgey. "Oh yeah... A lot of good this walk is doing me!" he said, getting into his battle stance. "Oh, come on. We need the practice." Draco retorted, also preparing to fight. "Powder Snow!" Bifrost yells, aiming sheets of chilly, diamond-dust snow at a Pidgey. "Ember!" follows up Draco, targeting another.

Kevin heard this fight while leaning against a tree levitating. "I wonder what's going on." said Kevin with curiosity. He walked over to find 3 shadow pidgey and 2 tiny lizards of some sort. "DARK PULSE!" He aimed at the 3rd pidgey and knocked it out cold. "What are you 2 doing in these woods?" asked Kevin, "This doesn't seem like a place for kids."

"Who are you calling 'kids'? I am the great ninja, Draco!" Draco said. Bifrost pushed him over, causing him to fall flat on his face. "Just be quiet... Honestly, sometimes I wonder if you have a brain..." Bifrost sighed. "My name is Bifrost, and my companion here," he pointed at Draco, "is Draco. We're here... well, that's the thing, I don't know why we're here." he glared at Draco through his peripheral vision. "That aside, you are well met. Thank you fo r your assistance."

"No problem. My name is Kevin," responded Kevin with some delight, "Most pokemon just think less of me so I usually act a bit aggressive. I myself don't really know why I am here as well, but to meditate and prepare for what's to come."
He then brought the group over too his meditation spot under an enormous tree. Kevin sat down and crossed his legs. "Try it out. It is quite relaxing and calm's the mind and soul."

Bifrost sat down, grabbing Draco's hand and gently pulling him down, too. They crossed their legs and closed their eyes. Bifrost began a steady rythm of breathing, and Draco set about basking in the glow of the life surrounding him. It really was quite peacefull. Bifrost kept feeling like he was engulfed in a pleasant warmth, whil Draco felt a soft coolness about him. 'Ah... such peace...' thought Bifrost.

The peace was short-lasted as not long after a rustling sound came from some braches and followed by that a cry of "Revenge!" and a bird flew by followed by what looked like a purple colored comical blend of a monkey and a donkey and a sky-blue frog with wings riding on a cloud after it.

"No rest for the wicked, I guess... Come on, Draco, I know you wanna go chase it..." says Bifrost as Draco explodes in joy and hugs him before he's dragged by the wrist after the two strangers, leaving Kevin behind in the glade.

Meanwhile, our donkey monkey happens just to be a Guerillom chasing a Shadow Pidgeotto. He was restless. "Come back here you possesed being! Don't wanna fight? Too bad! Aerial Ace!" And he lauched an Aerial Ace. "Hey Fern, wait up!" The frog, who is a Typhrog named Typhoon, was trying to keep up. "And let the possesed get away? Not happening." And then Fern launched another Aerial Ace, but the Pidgeotto endured to reduce the hit and made a U-turn and swooped down into the jungle, forcing Fern into a run; leaving him at a disadvantage. "Typhoon, your assistance?" "Right!" Typhoon extended his cloud to make room for Fern. "Let's go!"

Kevin was back at the tree. He noticed that Bifrost and draco had disappeared. The he noticed a giant tree knocked over. "I wonder what's going on." So he ran as fast as he could and caught up to Bifrost and Draco. "What happened here?" asked Kevin to Draco.

"It was a monkey!!"exclaimed Draco. "A monkey donkey person!" he said even more enthusiatically. "And him being hime, he had to chase it... Oi..." sighed Bifrost.

"Hmm, I think he might be after what caused to tree to fall. Let's move." proclaimed Kevin. And so, Kevin, Bifrost, and Draco followed the mysterious pokemon and ended at a cliffside. A giant tree seems to have fallen over. And a giant bird seems to be ontop of it. And there the same monkey was running towards it.

"Give it up, you're cornered!" Fern was creeping towards the Pidgeotto when all of a sudden it made a loud screeching call (like Petey Piranha when you firsts encounter him in SMS but higher pitched) that made everyone stop. Before you know it a whole flock of Shadow Pidgeys, Pidgeottos, and a Pidgeot flew up from the cliffbottom.

(OOC: *twitch* ARE YOU TRYIN' TO KILL US!?!?!? We can't handle a flock, much less more than 1 Pidgeot.)

Bifrost twitched a little. "You just HAD to drag me along for your walk, did't you?" he said, glaring at Draco. "No time to get mad at me, we have to worry about that Pidgeot that's leading those other Shadow Pokemon!' Draco pointed out. "Fine, but I'm going to make you sleep on wet grass tonight." Bifrost sighed. "Powder Snow!" he said, aiming it at the Pidgeot while Draco readied himself to attack. "Smoke Screen!" he said, billowing out a dense smog at the entire group of Shadow birds. "REVENGE!" croaked a Shadow Pidgey as it dived for the two... and ended up missing them by about three feet, instead crashing into a tree.

"That's brilliant! If we take out the Pidgeot, the flock will panic! Then we wipe them!" Fern got a smirk look on his face, then launched an Aerial Ace. "He just had to chase that Pidgeotto..." Typhrog was unhappy. "But now there's no going back... so Hydrogen Gun!" He launched a Hydrogen Gun, knocking out three Pidgey and a Pidgeotto.

"OK. My turn." Kevin jumped onto a pidegeotto nearby. "Psychic!" He used psychic to guide and ride the pidgeotto into other shadow birds. "I'll take on the flock," shouted Kevin, "You just focus on the leader."

"Can do!" Draco called cheerfully, turnig to face the Shadow Pidgeot. "Bite!" he said, running up and snking his teeth into the bird. It squawked in pain and fury. "REVENGE!" it howled. Bifrost came up behind it. "Powder Snow!" he said, blasting it with gusts of icy dust.

While the fight was going on, Kevin swooped and dived ontop of "his" shadow pidgeotto. Since Draco used Smokescreen, it was much easier to knock out the flock. In a matter of minutes, all of the pidgeys and pidgeottos had fainted. Then he used dark pulse on the pidgeotto he rode and both crash landed into the ground, with Kevin unscathed. he ran to join the fight against shadow pidgeot.

Bifrost and Draco looked as Kevin came up to the battle. "'Bout time, slowpoke!" said Draco. "Just be glad for the help." Bifrost reprimanded. "They turned to look at the Pidgeot. "REVENGE!" it screeched. The team rallied together, getting ready to attack.

"HERE WE GO!!" Kevin ran at the pidgeot at full speed. "SHADOW CLAW!!" He jumped into the air and his hand was covered in a dark shadow. He swiped the pidgeot SO powerfully that it gave rip marks in it's chest. The pidgeot screamed in pain.

(OOC: Sov, I think Flarsable should finish off this battle.)

Pidgeot all of a sudden stopped. It released Shadow Claw was a Ghost type move and did not affect him. "REVENGE!" It cried and swooped down and launched a Shadow Blitz, trying to swipe all of them. Being in midair, only Typhoon was able to dodge due to his cloud. He then charged up a Razor Wind and aimed it at the wings while the Pidgeot was recovering from the swoop, knocking it down. Fern got up first due to the Focus Band on his head enduring him, and once he realized that Pidgeot wasn't capable of flight because its wings were injured and quickly launched a Mach Punch. He then followed up with a Comet Punch to the head (Ouch!), finishing off the Pidgeot. Some of the flock wasn't defeated, but when they realized their leader was knocked out, they panicked and flew around the opening. "Now's our chance!" Everyone used their attacks, finishing off the herd (I can just say "everyone", right?).
