Dean woke up slowly. He always hated waking up. He groaned long and deep as he realised he was concious again. He reached for his blaring alarm but
couldn't quite seem to reach it. Suddenly it ended. He opened his eyes and the sunlight coming in through his window stung. He looked up to see his cousin
Marcus standing over him, holding his alarm clock. Dean groaned. Marcus laughed.
"Come on cousin, get up. We've got a big day today."
Marcus laughed again as Dean groaned louder. Dean dragged himself slowly out of bed. He pushed Marcus out his door and, with great effort, got dressed. He hated the way Marcus always seemed to have energy. When he had pulled on his Marilyn Manson hoody, he trudged his way downstairs and made brakfast. As soon as he was done the bowl of Frosties, he felt better. Marcus came into the room with his Slipknot t-shirt on. Before he could let out a smart comment, Dean lobbed a piece of toast at him. Marcus caught it in his mouth and exited the room. After a glass of orange juice, Dean went into the sitting room to get his cousin.
"Come on, we'd better go. Where's Scott?"
Marcus looked up from the book he was reading.
"Gone to Bastion for the day."
Marcus got up and stretched. Together, he and Dean walked to the lab. It was a bright Saturday morning. They reached the lab in a matter of minutes before knocking on the door.
"Professor Idaho, it's Dean Silph!"
