I discovered something interesting in the bulbapedia site. There are gym badges in anime that are NOT in the games. I am thinking, why not have these unofficial gyms have a purpose in the PF world? Heres a link.

Well, our RPG doesn't take place in regions other than our own, and those badges would have no influence whatsoever there. But I believe that at least the existence of those badges could be acknowledged, as I can't find any reason against it.

I never said it had to be part of the rpg. But you gave me a SPLENDID idea Antartros.
Maybe... after the person gets all the gym badges and defeats the elite 4 in bombar, THEN it can be optional to the 8 bombar gyms across the WORLD!!!
Think of it as Sonic Unleashed, but with pokemon.
EDIT: It sounds alot like gold/silver when after your done defeating johto, you head to Kanto.

The 8 Bombar Gyms around the world? Sorry bud, but the Bombar gyms are in Bombar only, and Bombar is one of many continents on the Pokemon Planet.

It is spelled Bombur people, not Bombar.

I tame the burninators.

Here's how the Slakoth line really goes through evolution:

Slakoth drinks a Red Bull, causing it to get hyper and evolve into Vigoroth.
The caffeine rush ends, causing Vigoroth to evolve into Slaking.

We can say the unofficial gyms exist, we could mention a character in possession of one of the unofficial badges, but nothing more. Certainly not creating additional information for them. Only the 8 PF gyms can be accesible in our RPG. As a bonus, after beating Bombur's Elite 4 the gyms can be re-challenged, with the leaders having access to different, more powerful pokémon.
