Cool, nice.
THat isn't abusing Sonic. It is sort of like surf. I'll say it now... There are 18 HM's, here they are:
1: Cut
2: Rock Smash (can also smash ice blocks/ice walls)
3: Flash
4: Rock climb (can also climb down fissures)
6: Mist clear (or fog clear whatever you call it)
7: Surf
8: Dive
9: Fly
10: Strength
11: Lava wade- used to cross lava
12: Far Leap- used to cross fissures
13: Quickdash- used to cross quicksand/unstable ground (people teach sonic this!)
14: Excavate- used to dig through soft walls/mud
15: Minimize- used to squeeze through cracks
16: Maximize- used to grow tall and go to higher platforms
17: Oblivion- used to pass people without them noticing you
18: Super Mobile- if used, user is able to pass through ALL terrain

Ah, darn it. I'm not good at hacking either.
Hm, just thinking of ideas for a new game is pretty fun though. I'm the type of person who like games like Simcity or Railroad Tycoon.

Hacking isn't hard JDL.
Ok I'm lying some is. (Like scripting, dont get me started)
But seriously getting started will be best thing you'll do. What if Zel never started hacking? We woundn't have Shiny Gold!

Edit: If you want I'll help you hack this. I'm not new at hacking but I'm not an expert either. I know how to do the following:
Mapping
Inserting new Pokemon
Editing title screen
Doing OWs (however badly)
Doing basic scripting
Inserting and editing trainers

I recomend using a FR rom as everyone knows, RSE roms are unstable

Wow, Flarsy, you were here only a month earlier than me and you have a LOT more posts than me!
Just explaining.
Argock might sound like a rock type, but it is a peacock. Arg comes from Argus, a servant of Hera who had eyes all over his body, so he is a very good guard.
Anyways, Argus died and Hera put all of Argus' eyes on the peacock's tails. Argock is a counterpart to Phleasant
Snall is the pre-evo of soniail. Snall comes from snail and Stall, so you can guess that snall is very, very slow. Sonial, however, comes from Sonic, so it is the fastest snail in the world.

Well, now I need a spriter because all my sprites look like schrplnk.
You do realize that I use a lot of eral science and Greek mythology in my pokemon, don't you.
Does anyone know where you can download a pokedex editor that lets you edit SPRITES!?
