We all know there will always be a water, grass, and fire type starter pokemon. There are also sub types that come up in later evolutions, such as poison, ground, steel, fighting, and flying. There is also a pf starter whose full evolution, thronado, has a sub type, wind. This poll is asking the following question. (Also, if you'd like, you can give a suggestion of a type combination and name of pokemon for the pf staff to consider.)

What sub type would you want, OTHER than the ones listed above, for a starter pokemon? (Result)

We've already got the DS starters planned, but be my guest. I suppose we might consider using the results in the inevitable fifth generation.

Could u give us the subtypes you would use? That way, if there is any on here you would use already, you can delete this topic and I can redo the poll.

I vote for Dragon, especially since I thought of my own starters awhile ago. One of them was Grass/ Dragon, one was Fire/ Ice, and one was Water/ Dark. Plus, I like Dragon-Types more than most of the other Types (including PF). Only Type I like more than Dragon is Ice.

Dragon is a horrible starter subtype. Makes powerful Pokemon even more cheap.

Not the firsst one! The Dragon-Type only pops up in the last stage of the evolutionary line:

Hisseed (Grass) => Dinoom (Grass) => Drose (Grass/ Dragon)

Um Soble, I need to point out an error. See, if there was a part Ghost-type, it would be immune to Normal-type moves, which are the only attack moves the starters start with. Therefore Ghost-type is out of the question.

Not all starting pokemon battles have normal attacks. Bird pokemon has gust. Shinx has electric attacks. Bug pokemon have bug attacks.

But that's true, when you first battle your rival if you chose the one weak to the on that is the ghost type(so your rival has it) you can't hurt him. So it IS out of the picture.

I think the best way to settle it is to have the type be added as it evolves, not when you start out with it.
