NON-ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE LIVING IN AMERICA!!

im sorry to anyone that takes offense to this - but i am not against english being the second language of someone within america... so long as its a language they can actually SPEAK! if that is any consolation.

i was at subway and i had a conversation with a mexican new hire that went like this:

ME: "can i get a one-foot sweet onion chicken teriyaki on white please?"

HER: "what kind sandwich you like?"

ME: "a one-foot sweet onion chicken teriyaki on white"

HER: "what kind bread?"

ME: "white, one foot"

HER: "what size?"

ME: .....

and to make it worse... they talk in spanish behind the counter to each other - even the managers!!! thats very unprofessional.

and then i was taking a cab ride home from a cab company that only hires vietnamese people. we get into my apartment complex and she asks me where to go, i say "all the way back and to the right", then she asks "which way?"... RIGHT DAMNIT RIGHT!!! i tell her where to stop before we even get there, and tell her again once we get there, and shes so tied up on her ear piece talking in super loud and obnoxious vietnamese, that she doesnt hear me. we pass it, get to the end of the road and then she asks "which way?" i said "we passed it" and she says something along the lines of "why didnt you tell me when we passed it?"

My drawing skills are much better than mines from the old threads (Trust me.), and I plan to draw for Community Works when my Pad is up. At my old school, I only knew 3 people who could draw better. Amongst my friends, most of them gave high appraisal to my drawings. A lot of people also told me that I talked about Brawl too much....

To all the high school kids: in a few years it'll sort itself out. That's the best advice I can give you really, since that's all there is. People will mature, you'll find people like you (read: geeks), you'll learn your way around. That's what happened with me, it took three and a bit years of high school before i found by best friends, and 5 and a bit before I found my girlfriend (who I had known the whole time, but only just got to be friends with).

I hate when people try to mix education with religion, and when parents don't give their children the option to believe differently. I was very lucky in that both my parents are agnostic, and for a while I was christian and went to after school groups and stuff, but I realised it wasn't for me and to be honest, I've been happier since then. I'm agnostic now.
I really dislike, well, indoctrination. Yes, try to convert people to your religion, if you think it will make them happier. But not children. They're defenseless, they can't think for themselves and make thir own decision on what they believe. It's not fair at all.
Faith schools come into this too. If a faith school is just a school for christians, then fair enough, but in the UK, faith schools are allowed to have a completely different curriculum to other schools. Education should be secular, religion should be for home life and weekends.

PZPhyre mentioned this, but when people who live in a country and don't speak the language. I don't think you Americans shoudl complain so much, since your country was "discovered" by someone who only spoke Portugese, and New York used t be Niew Amsterdam, but in England, home of English, it makes me sad when people and communities aren't integrated. The new citizenship thing should definitely have a rigorous English Language section (and I wouldn't be against kicking out English people who couldn't pass the test either...)
However, if someone is trying to learn English, but still isn't very good, then they definitely get points for effort. Learning a language is hard.

i mainly get sick of all the different languages i have to read (especially in hawaii) on every single label on every single thing i buy. does anyone have any clue how much we would save on paper if we didnt have to print additional brochures in spanish, korean, french, russian, chinese, japanese, tai, vietnamese and hawaiian? i can understand hawaiian over here in hawaii, since it has its own language. and i would be more than supportive of the government if they dealt out some bucks to teach english to LEGAL immigrants. i think that all illegal immigrants should be escorted back, and that only the nation's language should be spoken in public, unless its on the phone with someone from their home country.

They should be escorted back to be able to come back in and become a legal immegrant & learn some english.

If the Switch had lifted by Yesterday, I would have put up 4 lines (excluding the Gelatart and Cakreme line.). They would be the Patriotic Birds (Majay and Eaglory), Dolls (Raggal and Antiqueen), Ant Soldiers (Soldant and Presidant), and Ghost Soldiers (Souldier and Veteraith).

Btw, I am DEAD SERIOUS when I am telling you now that I am very thin everywhere except my legs. Seriously, my shoulder-blades stick out, and without a shirt, you can see part of my rib cage.

-Tropical Drinks: Mataste and Tropicola
-Human-Fish: Ninno and Margger
-Roller Coaster Dragons: Wheeyrm and Velocityrm
-Tiki Coconuts: Tikoco, Exotiki, and Palmask
-Fire Dogs: Chihout and Muernine
-Emotional Outcasts: Emis and Emisfit
-Piranha Plants: Pirose, Pirower, and Piranosaur
-Icy Rodents: Chinchilly and Capychilly
-Tribal Turkeys: Triburk and Chiefturk

For the pirana plants, I'm thinking you should rename the last evo. When I read that, I think of a lizard with a fish head. Not the venus fly trap, the other name for pirahna plant.

Soble, Piranosaur is based off of Dino Piranha and Petey Piranha. It acts like a Vicious, Reptilian, Piranha Plant.
