A pokemon-ized version of 'The Little Mermaid'! Now, before we start, there are a few rules:

1) This is NOT an RPG. At no point will we (Soble92 and myself) deviate from the storyline. We'll be using the plot of the Broadway version.

2) Please hold all comments until the end of the performance. We really don't need to see 50+ comments after the first post of the story.

3) Please be polite when you comment. No one likes to see the message 'You suck!!!!11ONE LOL' one hundred times. Also, please try to make a point when you comment. As the above shows, it serves no purpose, and gets tiring to see stuff like that.

4) As was stated before, this isn't an RPG, and as such it's not open for people to come and join. The only people with permission to post here are Soble92, myself, and the PF Staff until we finish.

Now, without further ado, lemme present the cast of this production!

Also, because I like to keep things brief (and partially because I'm lazy XD), we'll be posting links like this: 'Song Title': HERE
This will open up a window where the song mentioned will be played. If you don't listen to the songs, you might very well miss some important information about the story. Oh, and just to inform, the story will be done in scene-like segments. Arigato for paying this place a visit! If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, feel free to PM me!

The soft sea wind played across the deck of the ship as men hauled nets up from the ocean, each one filled with small fish and seaweed. "Ahhh.. What a beautiful day!" exclaims a young Lioone on the deck. "Aye lad! King Triton must be in a friendly type mood!" says a deckhand. "King Triton? Who's that?" the Lioone asks...

"That voice..." Eric sighed, as the ship sailed on.

Meanwhile, under the suface of the cool waters, merpeople were gathering from near and far to see the performance today. People began to take their seats as the lights dimmed, signaling for silence. King Triton sat on the balcony, grining as he looked at the stage. His daughters were preforming for the kingdom today, and Ariel, his youngest, was debuting. He couldn't be more proud. The curtain rose, and the musical started.

"What!?" Triton roared at an advisor. "What do you mean 'She isn't here'?!".

Ariel, a young and energetic (and quite cute) vaporeon, swam to a sunken ship. She had her little buddy named flounder, a little finneon.

"What's wrong?" asked flounder, "you look more sad then usual."

"Oh, it's daddy..." she answered. "He's been so overbearing, lately. Always telling me to 'start applying myself' and 'be more practical'. Bleh!" she made a grimacing face. "hey. What's that?" she asked, seeing a large object in the distance. "Cool! A sunken ship!" she exclaims, swimming toward it. "Ariel, are you s-sure we should be going near that thing?" Flounder asks, terrified of it. "Oh, Flounder! Don't be such a Magikarp!" Ariel teases as they go inside.

The ship was dark and hollow. Any voice that peeped was echoed. Flounder quivered a lot, until he found something. "I FOUND A SILVER STCK THINGY!" shouted flounder. Unaware, he woke up a sleeping sharpedo.

"Flounder!" Ariel exclaimed, swimming over to him. "This is amazing!" she says, giving hima hug. "Thanks. Now, let's go. You never know when a Sharpedo may-" he started, but the Sharpedo burst through a glass window. "ATTACK!!" Flounder screamed, Ariel grabbing him and trying to get away from the attacker. Once outside the ship, Ariel tried to swim away, but Flounder accidently swam into a ship mast. As he fell through the water, Ariel dove after him. Pulling him through an anchor head, she managed to get the Sharpedo stuck. Turning to swim away, Flounder turned back. "Serves you right!" he says. It snaps at him, and he turns and swims quickly towards Ariel.

Swimming to an small island of rock, Ariel saw a group of Wingull. "Hey, Scuttle!" she waves. "Hey, Ariel!" one calls back, hopping down to the edge of the water. "Say, Scuttle can you tell me what this is?" Ariel asks, holding up the object she found in the ship.

'Human Stuff': HERE

"Ahahaha!" Ariel giggled, and then she turned serious. "Oh, no! I fogot completely about the concert. Bye Scuttle!" she waves again as she dives back into the water.

Unknown to her, though, she is being watched. "Yes, run on home to daddy..." an Octillery hisses as she watches Ariel swim home, using her henchmen, a Huntail and a Gorebyss, to spy while she sits in her lair. "Flotsam! Jetsam!" she yells, making them jump. "Follow her." she orders.

Following Ariel to the palace, the two eels hide in the shadows as Ariel approaches her father. "Daddy, I'm sorry I missed the concert. I just... fogot. That's all." she explained, smiling weakly. "Really?" Triton says sceptically. "Yeah! You see we were at this sunken ship, and then we were attacked by a Sharpedo. And it was like 'GRRR!' and we were like 'Whoa!", but we escaped, and we were like 'Phew!', but then we went to se a Wingull, and he was all like 'This is this and that is that' and-" Flounder explains. "Wingull? Oh, Ariel! You were up at the surface again, weren't you?" Triton asks. "Nothing happened" Ariel reasons. "I don't care. It's dangerous up there. You are never to go to the surface, again. Am I clear?" Triton asks. Ariel just huffs and swims off.

"Boys, come on home!" the Octillery commands. The two swim back to her lair. "Boys, have I ever told you how I came to be banished?" she asks. The shake their heads. "Well..."

After the confontation with her father, ariel went to a secret cave with her shiny stick, what scuttle called a kadabra spoon, to stow it away. "Why does father not want me to be with the surface dwellers?" asked ariel to flounder, "Its not fair."

"If only..." Ariel sighed.

'Part of Your World': HERE

Suddenly, a lound crash was heard, and Ariel looks to see Sebastion, a Corphish and the Court Musician, under a pile of her surface things. "What is all of this!?" he cries as Ariel frees him. "My, um... collection." shes says. "Oh, I see. Your collection... If your father knew about this-!" he began. You can't seriously say you're going to tell him!" Flounder cries. Suddenly, a huge shadow passe over head. "I wonder what that is..." Ariel mutters, swimming out to investigate. "Ariel! Will you please just-! Oh, just forget..." Sebastion huffs, swimming after her.

Swimming to the surface, Ariel watches in awe as a fireworks display goes on. Cheering and party noises could be heard coming from the ship. Ignoring Sebastions more-than-occasional comments that they weren't supposed to be up here, Ariel starts swimming closer to the ship. Upon reaching the side, she leaps up to the side, hoisting herself onto a ledge just below the deck. Peeking up to see, she sees a whole bunch of surface dwellers having a good time celebrating. One in particular catches her eye, a Lioone. "And now, if I may get everyone's attention." a stuffy Noctowl calls. "I'd like to present our esteemed Prince with his Birthday present. Happy Birthday, Eric." he says, pulling the cover off of a large marble staue of Eric. Scuttle comes flying down. "Watcha doin'!?" he asks. Ariel grabs him by the beak. "Shush! Scuttle, we have to be quiet." Ariel explains. The stuffy Noctowl turns to the Lioone. "Eric..."

'Storm at Sea': HERE

Ariel, acting on instinct, grabs the drowning sailor. Pulling him towards land. She hauls him onto the beach, asking Scuttle to check to see if he has a pulse.

'Part of Your World (Reprise)': HERE

Hearing footsteps off somewhere on the beach, Ariel disappeared into the water, unaware that Eric had heard her singing. "The most beautiful voice, Grimsby..." he remarks to the Noctowl. "Come now, Eric. Beautifl girls don't just pop up out of nowhere, then disappear into the ocean." he replies.

The next morning, Ariel and her sisters gathered at their seven mirrored vanity. Ariel kept combing her hair, and picked a flower, putting it in her hair. Giggling like a maniac, she looked as King Triton entered the room. "Good morning, Daddy!" she says, kissing his cheek before swimming out of the room. "What's she up to?" Aquata asks. "What's who up to? Who are you talking about?" Triton asks, still confused at Ariel's upbeat mood.

'She's in Love': HERE

"In love, huh?" Triton ponders. "Someone get me Sebastion." he says. A palace servant nods and goes to retrieve said Corphish. Meanwhile, Sebastion has already noticed and dedeuced the behavior. "Ariel, please get your head out of the clouds and back in the water where it belongs." he pleads. "He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me..." she says, daydreaming. "Down HERE is your home. Ariel listen to me, the surface world, it's a mess. Life under the sea is better than anything they've got up there!" he exclaims.

'Under the Sea': HERE

Noticing that Ariel had already swam off, Sebastion just sighed. "Somebody needs to nail that girl's fins to the floor." The servant came swimming up to Sebastion. "Sir, King Triton requests your presence. Something concerning his daughter Ariel." he states. Sebastion gasps. "He knows!" Entering the chamber with his legs shaking, Sebastion bows. "Sebastion!" Triton says happily. Sebastion cracks under the non-existant pressure and reveals everything. Triton snarls, and has Sebastion lead the way to Ariel's grotto.

"Flounder! Why can't you just tell me what this big surprise is?" Ariel asks. "You'll see! just come on!" he says, swimming towards her grotto. "Why can't you just tell... me...." she says, arriving to see the statue from the boat sitting in the center of here cavern. "Oh, Flounder! I love it!" she giggles. Then she slips into a daydreamy state. "Why, run away with you Eric? We'll it is rather sudden but-" she says until she hears something. "Ahem..." a stern voice echoes into the cave. "Daddy!" Ariel gasps. "Ariel, what is all this!? Have you lost your sense completely?!" he exclaims, then he see her cuddling on the statue. "No" he hisses. "Ariel, no. It's forbidden!" he says. "I don't care!" she answers defiantly. "If this is the only way to get through to you... So be it." he says solemnly, before turning to her collection and destroying it. Ariel swims away from the statue to try to stop him, but instead he turns to the statue and shatters it. Ariel falls to the floor, crying. Triton softens a bit, then turns to leave. "Oh Ariel..." Flounder attempts. "Just leave me alone!" Ariel cries. Flounder and Sebastion turn and leave. It is then that two figures slink out of the shadows.

'Sweet Child': HERE

The group sets off, swimming in the opposite direction of the palace. Heading deeper into the ocean than Ariel had ever been, they reach an enormous skeleton. Going in through the mouth, the pair lead her to a small chamber. "Hello, there, sweet cheeks." a voice echoes. "Hello?" Ariel says timidly. "So, I hear you want to be a surface dweller. Is this true?" Ursula asks, cutting to the chase, holding up her Magic Omanyte Shell. "Yes!" Ariel says, then becomes skeptical. "You can do that?" Ariel asks in disbelief.

Reaching the shore, Ariel shook the water off herself. She looked at herself, and gasped silently. She had fur! She looked in the water, and tried to gasp again. She was an Eevee! She ran around for a minute, chasing her tail, laughing. Although, when she didn't hear anything she stopped. 'That's right... I traded my voice away.' she thinks. "Well I hope you're happy!" Sebastion chastises. "Look at you! You've got fur! Maybe we can get the sea witch to give you your voice back, and you can go back to living underwater, and just be-" he rambles, glancing to see Ariel wearing a sullen look. "Just be... Just be miserable for the rest of your life..." he finishes, defeated. "Oh, fine. We'll help you get that smooch..." he says. Off in the distance, they hear a dog barking, and a Growlithe comes bolting around the corner. "Whoa Max! Slow down! Oh." Eric says, catching sight of Ariel. "Hello there, Miss." he says, coming over to where Ariel is sitting. "Was knucklehead here bothering you?" he asks, laughing a little, before something hits him. "Say, you look familiar. Have we met before?" She nods, and Eric's face lights up. "Really? Great! What's your name?" he asks. Ariel attempts to speak, but all she ends up doing is mouthing the word 'Ariel'. "Oh, you can't speak?" Eric says, a little disappointment in his voice. Ariel shakes her head. "Oh. Then you can't be who I thought you were... Here, let me help you to my place. You must've been through a lot." he says, noticing she's amongst the remains of a shipwreck. "By the way, my name is Eric." he says, giving Ariel a smile.

Later, Ariel was in her "bedroom" being pampered by Eric's maids, the jynxs. They talk amongst themselves, while styling Ariel's fur. "Oh, I should be the one to marry him, " said jynx 1, "But I can't change his plans." "I know right?" said jynx 2. "Yah," replied jynx 3. "You can never trust such a suave linoone." "Why can't I be with him? If he goes for someone else, I'll will kill him!" shouted jynx 1. She then accidentally ripped a piece of fur out. Then tried to put it back on with glue. "Calm down." thought ariel, "I wonder what plans they are talking about."

Later on at dinner, Eric sat by Ariel and he talked to her, laughed, and seemed to be having fun. Grimsby looked at the two in delight, before turning to Eric. "Eric, why don't you aask our guest to share a dance with you?" he suggests. "Sure. Say, do you know how to dance?" Eric asks. Ariel shakes her head. "Well, let me teach you then." he laughs.

'One Step Closer': HERE

Grimsby smiles as he watches them dance. "Eric, I think tomarrow you should go out and take our guest on a tour of the kingdom." he says. "Great idea!" Eric exclaims. "would you like that?" he asks Ariel. She nods happily as a maid, a kindly Blissey, shows her to her room. "Tomarrow, on that tour, you gotta make your move." Sebastion states, while Ariel yawns and snuggles into her bed. "You've gotta pucker up your lips, and bat your eyelashes, and..." Sebastion says, but when he turns aroundto see Ariel fast asleep, he smiles and sighs. "You're hopeless, i hope you know..." he mutters, and lays down at the foot of the bed.

The next day, Ariel snuck out of her room to not wake Sebastion to meet Eric and go to what would be a carnaval. "This is my home." said Eric. They went to a puppet show, where an abra floated 2 puppets in midair, kissing each other. Eric turned to ariel, then looked away and blushed. Next they went on a merry-go-round. They shared the same wooden ponyta, where ariel cuddled on Eric's back. Later that evening, they arrived at a dance competition. The danced the whole night and won 2nd place; 1st place was 2 snorlaxes. "I guess you can never beat the oh so deadly mid-air belly slam." thought Ariel. After the competition, Ariel and Eric watched as a group of tyrouges repaired the dance floor. (Guess how?

Meanwhile, Ursula had been watching the entire thing from her lair. She turned to her henchmen.

'I Want The Good Times Back (Reprise)': HERE

Leaving the carnival, they went to a dock and rented a rowboat. Eric began rowing them across the water. Al was clam, and a pleasant silence was around them. Sebastion and Scuttle watched them. "When're they gonna kiss?" Scuttle asks impatiently. "Let me tell you something Scuttle..." Sebastion says.

'Kiss the Girl': HERE

Suddenly, the boat capsizes. Ariel and Eric bobbed in the water, but soon they were laughing together. "Here, let me help you to the bank of the pond." Eric offers. Unknown to them, though, the cause of the boats tipping watched and snicker at their victory. "Well, would you look at that..." Flotsam remarks. "Looks like they had a little accident...." Jetsam says gleefully.

The next day, Eric invited Ariel out to take a carriage ride. When they returned though, Grimsby took Eric to a large stage, sitting him in front of it, with a little pen and paper on the desk in front of it. Grimsby then trotted out some girls. The Blissey nurse took Ariel to a balcony with a view of it. Grimsby then stepped on the stage.

'The Contest': HERE

Grimsby took the paper from Eric. "And the winner is... Erm, well, it's a tie between all the contests. They all got a score of 1..." he states, then glares at Eric.

Later that night, Eric is at his balcony looking towards the vast ocean. "Isn't this grand, eh Max?" asked Eric to his companion. He daydreamed of all the girls he saw at the contest, especially Ariel, even though she didn't sing. Then he noticed a mist with someone in it. He or she was taking a drink of water. Walking out of the mist came a very hot (so hot that my keyboard is melting while I type this) female persian. He became awestruck at her site.
