OK, here are three types that I made up with their corresponding type relations. Bear in mind that I didn't intend them for actual addition (except for Virtual, but that was a long time ago and I've changed it), so these are not trying to be balanced or anything. Wood-type Offensive relations: Effective against: - Ground, because according to Chinese tradition Wood beats Earth - Flying, because birds and flying insects find refuge on wood and thus, they are vulnerable without it Ineffective against: - Rock, because it's harder - Steel, because it's much harder - Fire, because it burns it Completely ineffective against: none
Defensive relations: Resistant to: - Normal, because of its hardness - Water, because it feeds on it and transports it - Ground, because it's rooted on it and absorbs its nutrients - Rock, because of its relation with Ground and because some trees can grow on them Weak to: - Steel, because it chops wood - Fire, because it burns it - Fighting, because some fighters can shatter wood with their hands - Electric, because thunders can burn trees down Immune to: none Undead-type This is an offshoot of the Ghost-type, to cover undead creatures that aren't intangible. Think vampires, zombies and so on. Offensive relations: Effective against: - Normal, because the undead feed off the living. - Psychic, inherited from the Ghost-type Ineffective against: - Magic, because magicians can control the undead to do their bidding - Steel, because metals have evil cleansing properties in popular culture - Wood, same reason as above - Light, the dead aren't strong in daylight - Undead, they usually don't fight each other Completely ineffective against: Ghost, because ghosts are completely dead
Defensive relations: Resistant to: - Dark, because the undead themselves are animated by dark forces - Psychic, because many undead are actually brainless - Ghost, they're dead as well and usually don't feel fear - Undead Weak to: - Magic, same reason as before - Steel (think of silver bullets, chainsaws in zombie films, etc.) - Wood (wooden stakes) - Light, because the undead thrive in darkness - Fighting, because dead bodies are fragile - Fire, same reason as Fighting - Bug, because some larvae feed on rotten flesh Immune to: Poison, because the undead don't have body functions anyway
Virtual-type Pokémon which are not corporeal, existing solely in cyberspace, and that are brought to the real world by special pokéballs that stay in the field projecting a sort of holographic image. That's at least how I imagined them from the beginning. You could also call it Machine-type, though that would require some changes.
Offensive relations: Effective against: - Virtual, because they can spread virus, trojans, spam and so on Ineffective against: - Psychic, because technology is nearly useless against their mystical properties - Ghost, Magic and Dragon, same reason as above - Steel Completely ineffective against: - Normal, balances its Normal immunity (see below)
Defensive relations: Resistant to: - Psychic, because they have no actual minds to control - Ghost, because being machines they cannot fall easily for their tricks Weak to: - Virtual, because computer programs can be erased or corrupted by certain others - Electric, because it can fry circuits and cause shortcuts - Water, because it also damages circuits (specially if it's used for coffee) - Ground, dirt and dust can damage them too - Fire, yet another cause of damage - Bug, because of computer 'bugs' (suggested by ShinE and I liked it, even if it's just idiomatic) Immune to: - Poison, because they're inorganic - Normal, because they have no physical presence - Fighting, same as above
