If you wanted to make a new type, what would you make?

I would make a sound type, so attacks like sonicboom and roar will have a place.

I'd love to make the type 'Chaos' so that moves aren't classified as '???' anymore. The plate to change Arceus would be called the 'Cacophony Plate' and the inscription on it would be "After the Original One appeared, this Plate was formed of the chaos." Whaddya think?

I, myself, think there should be more types of moves, not type of pokemon. In that respect, I think, time, space, crystal, aura, chakra, and zen would be good move types.

I think all the types you've suggested except maybe sound, are bullshizzle. Even sound doesn't make that much sense. I think the PF have all the fan types covered and most people would agree that twenty types are plenty.

And Sound type will never exist ever. Everyone knows that.

I did a Google search on I think Youthistle. And it showed a list of all the Pokemon PF made in GSC, and the chances of the types, and one of them was Sound. And there's 21 types:
Water, Ice, Rock, Ground, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Bug, Poison, Normal, Dragon, Flying, Electric, Psychic, Ghost, Dark, Steel, ???, Wind, Light, & Magic.

Technically, ???? doesn't count as a type. If ???? is a type, then transparent is a color and "whenever I feel like it" is a time of day.

Pory, what do you think about adding more move types, not pokemon types, to the factory? I think it can be very creative.

It would make a mess of type relations. Besides, no pokémon would ever get STAB on such moves. Seems like a bizarre thing to do, to me.

I got some solutions. A held item relating to the type would give that STAB Boost. And it would be the same as regular types, except take out resistances.

taking out resistances would make the moves overpowered - especially since you added DTAB to them.

Different Type Attack Bonus.

I'm talking about any type. And you can add more resistances on the other types of pokemon.

The simplest reason for us not to introduce new move types is the fact that Nintendo did not introduce them either. Since we tend to mostly stick to Nintendo's way of doing things (and I'm going to whack anyone that brings up Yawnlax), we will not add new move-only types unless Nintendo does so.

If there were a Sound type:
the moves:
All moves blocked by Soundproof(obviosly) besides Grasswhistle, Metal Sound & Roar of Time

the pokemon:
whismur family(instead of the normal)

If there were a Time type:
the moves:
Roar of Time
Future Sight

the pokemon:
Celebi(Grass/Time)
Dialga(Dragon/Time)

If there were a Space type:
the moves:
Spacial Rend
maybe Meteorstrike

the pokemon:
Palkia(Dragon/Space)
Deoxys(Space)
Giratina(Dragon/Space)
