Huck observed the Pineco. "Well, you could go and catch it now, but it would seem that you would capture a troubled or angry pokémon that way," the woodworker answered. "And pokémon with issues are generally not an asset to your team. It might be best to wait a little bit more before capturing it and by letting it roam around its natural home, discover what's wrong with it," the woodworker said.

After having rested against the giant tree, the Pineco carefully looked around, trying to find the source of the poisonous attack that had just struck it. Seth and Huck were well-hidden, though, and after a while, the bagworm pokémon gave up its search and started to climb back up into the tree.
"Darn, it climbs up back where it was before," Huck commented. "I'll have Florabloom fly up in the tree behind us. That'll give her a better view than we have." Having said this, Huck's Florabloom did as she was instructed.
Interestingly enough, the Pineco was collecting loose leaves from the tree. As it collected more and more, it started to attach them to its body, and it wasn't long before it was mostly covered in leaves. This strange habit was even noticeable from the point of view of Seth and Huck. Huck observed the now-leafy Pineco hanging next to its Burmy neighbours. "Well Seth, I think this Pineco either is jealous of the Burmy's cloaks, or wants to be a Burmy alltogether..." the woodworker said.

Huck thought about Seth's question. "Well, obviously, Pineco is jealous of the Burmy or of its cloak. It probably explodes a lot because it is angry about this. So, catching a Burmy too would mean that Pineco continuously has the option of comparing itself to that Burmy. Catching just this Pineco, on the other hand, might give Pineco the idea that the reason you wanted to catch it and not a Burmy, is that Pineco is in fact the better Burmy of this tree," Huck said with a grin, aware of the funny consequences involved.

Naturally, the pokémon that lived in the tree were disturbed by the sight of a Gyarados coming towards them. If it would have been a smaller pokémon, they would have attacked any foe nearing their tree. In this case, though, the foe was enormous, and most pokémon decided to hide higher or deeper inside the tree. The Burmy immediately hid behind their leafy coats. Pineco seemed intent on doing the same. That is, until Gyarados had arrived right below Pineco's branch. Suddenly, Pineco let go of its brach and dropped down, crashing on Gyarados' head...
