He hadn't gotten far as a hand pulled him from the gym. He turned to see a tall man, well-kept although rather exhausted looking, with blood red hair.

"Hello Andy. My name is Thieth, and I'd like to ask you if you'd like to join me in a pokemon battle." The man smiled, he had just come from the Decorus Woods and, having managed to capture a low-level Bricket previously, decided he had better resume testing new trainers.

Thieth wants to fight!


((OOC @ soble: Hey sorry about this, it's a good experience for you I guess and other trainers to get them accustomed to my antagonist character and gives me something to do. Anyway, firstly, you DO know who Thieth is yeah? If not - refer to either the Trainer post (3rd version) or the Pokemon Bombur: The Nightmare and the Boy Chronicles threads. Anyway, this is OPTIONAL, whereas if you do not want to take this fight, you are free to go and say so. Thieth will leave in this case - if not, I'll have a quick battle with you. Rule 1 when battling Thieth: CONVENTIONAL STRATEGIES WILL NOT WORK! Think of something... Ingenious =D))

The man smirked, "Okay, two conditions. One, you will tell no one you saw me, and two, you will allow me to choose our battlefield." The boy consented, although a little curious about the man's demands. With that, Thieth promptly marched the boy into a nearby grove of trees. They soon came to a clearing and Thieth stopped and turned to the boy.

"You're Andy... Correct? Okay, we'll begin our battle." With that, Thieth unhooked a pokeball from his cloak and threw it high in the air. It opened and with a flash of white light, out came Bricket and Sagitorso. Thieth glanced to the boy, "Saggitorso is actually in its 30s. I'm only unleashing it to fill a double battle requirements and it will not attack unless you attack it. Bricket on the other hand is level 6 and should pose enough of a match for you."

"Not to say you can't beat Sagitorso, just it's really not advised," Thieth smirked. SAAAG! It's HP was barely grazed, but it used its Swords Dance move to boost its likelihood for a critical, not only that though, but the waves of air from its slashing movement sent Nidoran flying back. The pokemon skidded into a tree but got back up.

"I do hope you have an idea of what you're doing," the red-haired terror laughed, "I don't even have to attack you properly. On the other hand... Bricket, Screech!" Bricket moved its legs rapidly and sound of scraping bricks split through Lotad and Nidoran's heads. Nidoran with it's large ears, cringed.

"An eye for an eye maybe?"

((careful, don't be too conventional. A good RPG battle uses terrain, environment, and knowledge of both pokemon and elements in nature. Thus, a tree could be knocked down to cause changes to the field, a water gun could be used to make the ground muddy and harder to move... You're gonna find (especially me) but some of the staff and other members of PFL like to do this in the future.))
