Yes, because the original description put it that way. A future remake for the NatDex might widen the difference between those pokémon a bit more, though.

And Trapinch, that sprite sure is nice.

As the original suggestor of Myrmilion, I can say that it could probably do with a neck of some sort. That would help it differ from Pinsir. Its eyes could also stand to be less beady, but Pinsir's eyes have also become less beady in later generations, so that's not helpful for this matter.

Yeah, I sprited Myrmilion quite badly, I have to say.. none of my GSC stuff was any good without a concept sketch to work from (and Myrmilion was one of those). I'm ashamed XD

I tame the burninators.

Here's how the Slakoth line really goes through evolution:

Slakoth drinks a Red Bull, causing it to get hyper and evolve into Vigoroth.
The caffeine rush ends, causing Vigoroth to evolve into Slaking.

I agree with soble92 that it probably shouldn't evolve from Swablu. Just because it shares its colors is no reason to make it related. The final result (sketch/sprite by Staff) might look rather different after all.

Alright, let's clear some things up.

First, I changed the name. It's Nimballet now.

Second, it's a fairy thing. It has absolutely no relation to Swablu.

Third, not all Pokeys have to have different colors. Pikachu and Sandshrew have similar colors.

Fourth, I'd REALLY like it if this design went unchanged. I think it's good as is.

Nimballet sounds great ^-^ And, as you might know, we never put a suggested sprite directly into the dex, for copyright issues. However, don't worry, we are more than capable of making a sprite turn out just as awesome as this one - which I'm sure you know ;)
