Pokémon Factory Worker

(OOC: I just realized I never posted Sukus' info. Sorry about that.)

Nevermore was Scratched firmly as he came close enough to attack. He lost his balance and crashed to the ground instead of swooping back up.

Seeing that is pokemon was too close to get in a decent Tackle, Aaron opted for a different strategy. "Growl, then jump back," he called. Nevermore obediently growled right in Holliguana's ear, then hopped back a few steps.

Meanwhile back in the lab, some information had popped up on the screen of the scanning machine:

Sukus
Female
Wtr

Moves:
Tackle: [Nrm]
Charges into the opponent.
Growl: [Nrm]
Lowers opponent's ATTACK ability by one stage.

Holliguana screeched in pain. It stumbled dizzily around the battle ground, trying to regain his composure.

'So your a girl Sukus?' Ferris said to the pokeball clutched in his hand. 'Let's go watch the battle. If you promise to be obedient, I might let you out of your pokeball.' Ferris smiled, then headed outside to watch the battle.

Nevermore hung back and eyes the Holliguana warily, just in case it was faking to catch him opponent off guard.

"Nevermore, Tackle," commanded Aaron. His pokemon ran towards Holliguana, but stumbled a little as it did; it was getting rather worn out.

"Holliguana, try to get behind Nevermore and scratch it's wings!" Drew shouted to the disoriented green reptile. The Pokemon faintly heard his trainer's orders, and he stumbled into a fighting stance.

If Nevermore had tripped a moment earlier, Holliguana's claws would have passed harmlessly through the air above it. Instead, Nevermore fell right into it's opponent's claws. With a screech, the bird fell over and didn't get back up.

Aaron calmly recalled his pokemon. "Let's go, Lediba!" he called, tossing out his next pokeball. His ladybug-like pokemon appeared in a flash of light. "Try to keep it disoriented, Growl!"

Lediba took aim at its dizzy-looking opponent and let out a loud Growl.

Holliguana saw this coming and covered his ears. While the Pokemon was busy growling, Holliguana moved to the side, out of the attack's range. "Holliguana, move in for a growl near its antennae!" yelled Drew.

Lediba wasn't fast enough to move away from Holliguana before the reptilian pokemon moved in close and growled. The attack seemed louder from the close range, and Lediba was a bit shaken.

"You're doing fine, Lediba. Tackle it," called Aaron. Lediba tried to gather its courage a bit before it dashed towards its opponent.

"Then scratch at Ledyba!" Drew yelled.

"You're doing fine, Lediba," called Aaron. "Tackle again." Though Lediba was looking tired, it obediently launched itself at its opponent.

Holliguana struck Lediba again, and this time the hit was too much for thr bug-type. Aftedr wavering a moment, it fell over.

Aaron recalled his pokemon, and as it disappeared back into its pokeball he said, "Good job, nicely fought. This is yours now." He pulled out a badge and held it out to Andrew.

Andrew has recieved the Panorama Badge!

Aaron also gave a red device that looked like a fancy cell phone. "You also get this pokedex," he told Andrew. "I'm sure you'll use it well."

Drew had a huge grin on his fae as he gladly accepted the Pokedex and the badge. The Holliguana looked proud of himself for f9ighting so well, but tired at the same time. Drew put his hand out for the Holliguana. The Holliguana then climbed up his arm and crawled around his back. Drew winced in pain as the small green lizard's claws dug into his skin. The Holliguana then decided to crawl into the hood hanging limply from the back of the neck of Drew's coat and proceeded to fall asleep. Drew carefully walked over to his laptop, closed it and put it into his back pack. Just as he was waling out the door, Drew remembered a question he meant to ask Professor Idaho, but since he wasn't here, Aaron would have to do. "Since you are only filling in for a gym leader, you may not know, but, how do you guys keep your Pokemon at the same level? Is it a special machine or what?"

Lucky for Aaron, a Pokemon League representative walked through the lab doors and overheard Drew's question, "Well, it's not as easy as you think, but Aaron, like all the gym leaders have special teams just for battling trainers such as yourself. The pokemon you battled today aren't trained like Aaron's real roster, so they never get too powerful. If they do, we at the Pokemon Factory can provide any of the gym leaders with replacements, or if they aren't lazy they can just go out and catch new ones."

Aaron and Drew stared at the Pokemon league Representative blankly. "Well, gotta go. Bye," he said on his way out the door. Aaron and Drew stared at the door. "Well, that was strangely convenient," Drew said, puzzled by this strange happening.
