I'm getting the major events out of the way here just for the benefit of anyone who is thinking of joining my quest and to get some help as well.
Dean recieves Surskit.
Dean defeats Aaron.
Dean's quest is revealed, Scott is revealed to be his uncle.
Dean first meets Treecko.
Dean captures Mosslus.
Mosslus saves a Pikachu.
Dean encounters Treecko once again but both Surskit and Mosslus are defeated.
Dean captures Nytshayd.
Dean is captured by Marcus's Crobats he releases Nytshayd just before he faints, Surskit and Mosslus are captured also.
Nytshayd has followed the Crobats to a cave where Dean is being held prisoner.
Daniel recieves starter Pokmon.
Daniel defeats Aaron.
Daniel meets Nytshayd who guides him/her to Dean (Daniel can take his time and catch a Pokmon or two first).
Daniel defeats the Crobats and frees Dean.
Draxis the Drachine arrives but is defeated by Dean and Daniel.
Dean explains his quest to Daniel.
Daniel agrees to join Dean on his quest.
Dean challenges the Bastion Gym and is defeated.
Daniel challenges the Bastion Gym and is victorious.
Dean and Daniel stop at the Parfum River on the way to Route E.
Surskit's mother Masquerain explains that a group of Krabby are terrorising the River.
Surskit and Dean battle the Krabby.
Surskit evolves into Masquerain.
Dean captures the leader of the Krabbies.
