Eragriff stomped through the undergrowth of the Manifold Forest. She was in a sour mood, as she seemed to be fairly often. Worse still, no other pokemon were around; usually she'd play some sort of prank on one of them and it'd cheer her up, but lately they'd all disappeared just when she needed to see them most. It annoyed her just thinking about it. For lack of anything better to do, she tore a branch off a nearby bush.
Still holding the branch in her beak, she wandered off again. A thought occurred that she could go throw rocks and branches in the river again. A nearby tributary of the Manifold River had a clump of plant debris blocking part of it, so she'd made it a project of hers to throw more stuff in the river to increase the obstruction. Sometimes she'd hide by the river and watch the reactions of water pokemon that found their path was blocked. The idea pleased her, so she turned and headed for the river.
Partway there, she stopped suddenly. Something didn't feel right. She dropped her branch and started looking around. Everything looked fine; no smoke, pokemon trainers, or any other disturbance in sight. But still...
She shook her head and picked her branch back up, but couldn't get rid of the feeling. She continued on to the river, then threw her branch in, but her heart wasn't in it anymore. She shook her head again and stared at the river for a moment.
What could it be? This had never heppened before? She was starting to get worried. What if it was something dangerous? What would happen to her and the other pokemon of the forest? This could be very bad. What should she do? Maybe someone else knew more about what was going on. Yeah, that's it, she'd go ask around and find someone who knows more.
Slightly more at ease now that she had a plan of action Eragriff turned around and ran into the forest, looking for someone anyone else.
