"How long do we have to be stuffed in these boxes, Untor?!" a gruff voice (obviously from a Pokemon) shouted from a box. Another Pokemon, a girl with a uplifting voice, replied, "Just a little bit longer, Vunko. Remember to be patient!" "Remember to be patient! Remember to be patient! Blah blah! That's the thing you always say, Juki!" Untor, a hissing voice, yelled from another box. The boxes then lifted into the air and were poured out onto the mainland of Sinnoh Or what the three Pokemon THOUGHT was the mainland of Sinnoh. . .

It turns out that this was Ardor, the main trading post of Bombur. The three Pokemon, Untor, a Skorupi; Juki, a Carnivine; and Vunko, a Croagunk; did not know this. They thought that they were still in Sinnoh. Untor skuttled to and fro, searching fruitlessly for the landmarks he recognised. Juki, confused more than ever, started twirling in circles. Vunko just sat and croaked, pausing to look left or right every other croak. Just then, they heard a voice scream, "Hey! It's a Skorupi! And a Carnivine! And a Croagunk! I thought they only lived in Sinnoh! LET's CAPTURE THEM!" Just then, about 20 trainers ran towards the three dazed Pokemon . . .

Untor, confused, ran behind a merchant's cart. Juki, terrified, screamed and zipped into a barrel. Seeing how his friends reacted, Vunko's fingers started glowing purple. Vunko then started walking towards the trainers, fingers pointing towards them. "It's Poison Jab! Everybody scram!" one of the trainers exclaimed. The rest of the trainers then scattered. Untor peeked his head from behind the cart, and Juki then poked her head out of the barrel. "You saved us, Vunko!" Juki cheered. "Now, anyway, let's just explore this 'not-Sinnoh' land," Untor stated as he and his group walked north through the volcanic paths of Route K...

Unknown to the group, as they walked (or in Juki's case, floated) through the volcanic Route K, several large and firey insectoid creatures crawled out of the lava pits surrounding the route. They quietly followed the group. When Juki turned around to get a bearing on her surroundings, she gasped. "Uhhh, Untor? Vunko? Look behind us," he stammered, frightened. Untor and Vunko slowly turned around. About 5 Infernant (though they didn't know what they were at the time) were behind the trio, hissing and ready to attack. They then fired Ember at them. Untor and Vunko were not so scared of them, but Juki, being jumpy AND a grass-type, panicked when the fire touched her skin. Juki then started firing Bullet Seed all over the place, but it didn't help much. Suddenly a large blue dragon-like creatured appeared and dived down at the trio...

This Pokemon actually looked more like a whisp of blue fire than it did a dragon. Unknown to the group, it was a trainer's Asterore! Everywhere it flew, chunks of metal fell to the ground. The Infernants hissed and scattered as the Asterore started divebombing Untor and the gang. Untor tried a Toxic, but it didn't work since Asterore was a Steel-type. Juki's Bullet Seed did no better because Asterore was a Fire-type. Vunko stepped up to the plate and began charging a Vacuum Wave (Vunko's father was a Hitmonchan) and it worked! Asterore started backing up. The trio was able to continue on their way to . . . wherever they were going. Which happened to be on the way to the infamous Cargan Desert . . .

Naive to the dangers the desert contained, the trio reached the Cargan desert at night. Clouds seemed to gather near the middle of the desert. After they traveled for a while, they found a cave. "Well, I say we sleep for the night," Untor stated. The other two agreed as they moved into the cave to get some rest. However, when they awoke in the morning, both Juki and Vunko were gone . . .

"JUKIIIII? VUUUNKOOO?!" Untor shouted. All that happened were the echoes of Untor's cries as they bounced off of the Majestic Mountains surrounding the desert. Untor started aimlessly wandering the desert, searching for his two friends. Luckily, since Untor was a Skorupi, it wasn't affected by the desert heat. But it would be affected by the figure behind him . . .

"Who goes there!" shouted a female voice behind him. Untor turned around. The voice came from a rather large Cacnea. Untor then stuttered, "I'm-m-m just t-t-trying to f-find my f-f-friends!" The Cacnea scoffed and stated, "Well I'm not going to hurt you. Stop stuttering like that." Untor immediately calmed down. "So how do I find them?" asked Untor. "That depends- what kind of Pokemon were your friends?" inquired the Cacnea. "They were a Carnivine and a Croagunk," replied Untor. The Cacnea then thought for a moment. "No, I haven't seen a Carnivine around here . . . but I thought I saw a Croagunk. Follow me." The Cacnea motioned for Untor to follow. Soon they were off on a journey through the desert . . .
