Pokémon Factory Worker

(OOC: Hold on. First off, you do not determine when my pokemon faint. Second, there is no such item as a "shadow baller." Third, if you want to do anything as unusual as getting an item that could steal an opponent's pokemon, you have to have that approved first. Either ask Bonzai about having such an item, or edit your post to something a bit more conventional and we'll continue the battle.)

(Not going to do this the nice way, huh? Fine then, we do it the not-nice way.)

Inside the computer systems at the Pokémon Factory HQ, an alarm started beeping. "Wha-" Poryhedron noted the alarm's source. "Aaron's lost possession of his Basic Gym team Nevermore!? How'd that happen?" Immediately Poryhedron ducked into the wireless router, and at the speed of light, transferred itself to the network servers in Anchore Lab.

Checking security camera feeds, Poryhedron spotted the "novice" trainer with what seemed to be a Snag Machine variant. "Geez, what happened to the days when ne'erdowells snuck in through back windows and stole unattended pokéballs?"

Noting the exact geographical location of the altered pokéball, Poryhedron jumped from the Lab into the island's pokémon storage network and then straight into the Pokéball holding Nevermore. A quick alteration of the ball's coding caused it to transfer Nevermore back into Aaron's pokémon storage account. A second alteration introduced a bizarre glitch that left the ball unable to open or recall pokémon.

Poryhedron had one more trick up its nonexistant sleeve. Scanning the changes this "Shadow Baller" had made to the pokéball, it found the wireless channel the device used to interface with pokéballs. Bouncing from the pokéball to the storage network to the Lab's servers and then into a wireless signal scanner, it used the channel data to transfer itself directly into the Shadow Baller. A few fun little tweaks later, Poryhedron rode the channel back from the device to the nearest pokéball (which happened to be Vulcant's) and back to the storage network, where it sent Nevermore back into Aaron's pokéball as an afterthought.

Two seconds later, the Shadow Baller kicked into overdrive, flipping Vulcant's pokéball between Storage and Deployment sizes at a rapid rate. Nikko tried to shut the device off, but it didn't seem to be responding to any of its controls...finally the Shadow Baller's CPU overheated, there was a pop, and smoke started pouring out of the now-useless device.

Pokémon Factory Worker

The blast of sand rasped around Nevermore, and it tried to late to shield itself with its wing. When the attack passed, Nevermore peered around the field, blinking blearily as it tried to see.

Noting that his pokemon couldn't see well enough to aim an attack, Aaron said, "Fly up and use Growl."

This Nevermore could do whether is could see or not. It quickly flapped its wings and rose into the air, then turned in the general direction it'd last seen Chomper and growled at the area.

After the Growl missed, because the sand disrupted the sound waves, Nikko told Chomper, "Jump up and use tackle on Nevermore, while it is still in range." But, as soon as Chomper was about to hit Nevermore, Chomper fell back down to the ground, for his jump was not enough to reach the bird, and realized it was going to be tough to beat this guy. Then, Nikko realized, Chomper is an insect, so he can crawl on the wall like a real ant... then Nikko called, "Hey, Chomper crawl onto the wall and then jump onto Nevermore with a Tackle.

Aaron smirked at the cleverness of Nikko's command. "Nevermore, try to scare your opponent off with another Growl!" Nevermore obeyed, but although Chomper was taken aback a little, it still executed its attack and hit Nevermore in mid-air. "Ugh, hang on, Nevermore!" Aaron said to his pokémon. "Try to encounter with another Peck!"
