Without a word, Johnny stood up and signaled Kolibrisk to come close. The little pokémon understood the order immediately: it was time for its first battle alongside its trainer, time to put its skills to the test. Even though it still didn't trust Johhny completely, it complied. However, as it approached the Bricket, the buzz of its wings and the sparks that came out of them startled the bug, which tried to run away.

"Don't let it escape, Kolibrisk! Use Supersonic!"

The sound waves hit the Bricket directly and produced the desired effect. Confused, the pokémon stopped, not being able to decide where to go.

"Good, now peck it!"

Kolibrisk obeyed and hit the bug pokémon, which was unable to fight back and actually hurt itself more by tripping. But somehow, it managed to get a grip and started to glow lightly. "It's using Harden", Johnny thought. "Better finish this off quickly."

"Shock it, Kolibrisk!"

Kolibrisk understood and released a Thundershock towards the Bricket, which suddenly came back to its senses and attempted a Tackle. But it was too late, for it received Kolibrisk's attack first. "Now it's time to act, if I keep attacking I might make it faint", Johnny thought, and threw a pokéball towards the pokémon, which was engulfed by the light that came out of it. The pokéball closed and shook on the ground for a few seconds, until it finally stopped.

"Yes! First time!", Johnny said while remembering all the pokéballs he had spent while pursuing Kolibrisk. Turning towards the little bird, he said: "Great job, Kolibrisk, I think you've earned a good night's sleep!" "Brii, brii!", the pokémon affirmed with joy. Thus, seeing that it had already finished its meal, he returned it to its pokéball; Crusher waved a tentacle as his friend was sucked inside. "Good night, Kolibrisk".

Johnny was eager to check out his new Bricket, but he remembered his new friend waiting by the fire. "Besides, I think Bricket could use some rest as well", he thought, and decided to leave the examination for the morning. He sat back next to Ammon who congratulated him for his catch.

"Thank you! It was quicker than I expected. Now what where we talking about? Oh, yes, your friend. Sorry. What you told me sure is a shame. I wish you good luck with your mission."

"Oh, he's a lawyer. He works in Bastion, so I'll see him when we get there as well. He helps my sister, Officer Jenny, with stuff related to the criminal organizations of Bombur: teams Shadow, Lotus and Uppercut, of which you might have heard of. My mother, a retired officer herself, also helps. So, all in all, we are a family of crime-fighters", said Johnny with a proud smile on his face.
