As this is a role-playing game your character does not have to have your name or age. My character is way younger than me. Just so you know. It's an interesting background, but unnecessary. Stronger trainers have been approved before. So in light of this, I will allow you take Sableye on you adventure as your starter without the whole machine incident. Be aware that all the Gym Leaders in the region will use pokemon to match your relative strength. If you would like to catch stronger pokemon in the earlier locations please PM me and I will judge each case accordingly. Steph is approved.

Excellent. I suppose this means I shall (with permission from the Staff, since they are all in the Rare category) acquire the starters from the wild. Steph does not know this (the starter arrangement with Sableye being fine), through, so she will go to Professor Idaho's lab anyway. Is this fine? Also....how are "crossovers" performed? Since Dark and Ghost-types are scared of Lumin, I would be interested in just how terrified dual-type Sableye would be if he met him.

Well then he doesn't have to meet him. Just because there are two people in a location, it doesn't mean they have to meet. Right now the people in the topic I'm cameoing in (All Roads lead to Bombur) and A New Beginning are both in Decorus Woods with Huck; but one Huck is at a Ranger Station (ANB) and the other is caring for Anthony (not Bonano) (All Roads). If you want lumin in the Lab, you could aks Drufle to cameo/join him, and if not then Lumin won't be in the Lab in your story. Man, I really got to stop helping people, I think I'm stealing Squirrelay's job.

@soble92: I'm sorry soble92. No one has gotten that far in the RPG and as such I don't really want to start handing third characters out yet.

@Coolsteph: Just as everyone has said crossovers are done with the permission of the member controlling the character. As for going to Prof. Idaho's lab, that's fine. With permission you may capture the other starters where they appear on the Placement List.

@Flarsable: You're fine as long as you're right. If not then you wouldn't be helping. What you posted is correct though.

No, I'm cameoing in All Roads Lead to Bombur. That's why it was in parenthesis and A New Beginning was not.

Well, actually, if you read Lumin's description, you would notice that he's actually not afraid of Ghost or Dark-type Pokemon. They are, in fact, afraid of him. The reason he doesn't want one is because he figures they would be too scared of him to listen very well. So yeah, Sableye would be so scared of him, they probably wouldn't go within 30 feet of him. But I guess Pokemon could get used to people, so after a while they wouldn't mind it as much. Lumin's aura isn't so powerful that it degrades their usefullness, however.

Goal: to go on an adventure all the way to the elite 4 and not challenge them. Just to show he could.
Description: a tall lanky boy whose dirty blonde hair is always covered in a red and white tuque and whose blue eyes are always covered by a pair of sunglasses. He wears a green hoodie with "Anchore curling club" writen on the back. Hes pretty chilled most of the time but he loves a challenge.
Background: came from a small family of 2 kids. His parents are seperated, his mom living in anchore town and his dad living in askorun town. His sister lives in Bastion city. Starting Pokemon Choice: Holliguana
Goal: Her stated goal is to become a Pokemon Champion. In reality, her desire is simply to understand Pokemon as well as she can.
Control Method: Sign Language and Hand Signals.
Description: A short girl for her age, she often wears knee-length skirts and button-down shirts of various light colors. She wears glasses out of necessity, being badly nearsighted. She's a very shy girl but if you can get to know she is has a very happy and inquisitive personality. She doesn't let her deafness be her defining feature, often able to hide it with her ability to read lips. Her voice sounds a bit odd, only slightly off key, as she only lost her hearing recently. She refuses to use standard Pokeballs if another option is available.
Background: The daughter of a local fisherman, her mother left when she was 4, heading off to study rare Pokemon. She lost her hearing when she was 8 when one of the Electrodes her father kept around as a bobber for bigger Water-types exploded while she was in the shed looking for a lure to use as a hairpin. Since then she has been incredibly afraid of electric Pokemon and even cringes slightly when touching Pokeballs.

That would be my second character. Lumin grew up in Bombur, and became blind because of an accident with Light-types. So, yes, they are quite similar. I think it would be fine as they have different disabilities and different backstories.

I haven't actually read any of the profiles other than a couple on the first page to see how others did it, and I haven't actually checked any threads yet. It's all very vague about how you're supposed to get started.
