In the case I ever would like to roleplay here.....

Name: Steph

Gender: Female

Age: I would prefer not telling, unless I have to. (but above 10, below 15.)

Starter: depends. I would prefer she have Fire-type Pokemon, but PF's Fire-type starters....are not my cup of tea, if I am using the term correctly. Holliguana could be an option, but only if it learns Fire-type moves (from TM, HM, etc.)

Goal: "Pokémon Master"

Control Method: Standard, although she trains her Pokémon so they can make some split-second decisions in battle, when the situation means she cannot command them in a usual manner quickly enough. This mostly means they sometimes dodge attacks without her specifically commanding "dodge".

Description: Looks fairly like the Gym Leader Jasmine, although without the barrettes and with a different, long-sleeved outfit that has slim, black "yoga pants". (they are actually rather comfortable.)
Personality (it seemed more befitting in its own subject) She is a "smart" trainer, and is usually confident and strategic. She can become excited in the heat of battle, but she keeps a perceptive awareness of the situation. When her Pokémon faint after a tough struggle, she thanks them in their efforts after recalling them. She tries to specialize in each of her Pokémon's unique strengths, and use them appropriately in battle. Because she wanted to be closer to her Pokémon, and secondarily because it might make them stronger in this way, she learned how to interpret her Pokémon's speech, eventually allowing her to seamlessly understand them and enabling her to talk to them like other people. This does not mean she automatically understands every Pokémon, however---she learns the meaning of a Pokémon's words only after long amounts of time with it on her team, and even then her understanding is mostly limited to the individual Pokémon, rather then the individual's entire species. In short, for Pokémon she does not know well, she has to revert to educated guesswork just like everyone else.

Background: she has some experience in Hoenn and Sinnoh, and is from Mauville City. After coming back home to Hoenn, Steven, who she previously challenged and won against, gave her a boat ticket to a ship going to Bombur.

Steph thought of keeping all her Pokémon back home to start at Bombur, like she did with the beginning of her Sinnoh journey (Johto was not accepting Trainers, and going through Johto was the easiest way to access Kanto), however her Sableye, which missed her tremendously after not being able to be with her on her Sinnoh journey, stowed away on the ship with the help of his Ghost-type invisibility. Considering Sableye wanted to be with her so much, she did not want to force him away without adequate reason, and thus went to consult Professor Idaho, who, being the Professor of the region who gave out Pokémon and otherwise being a smart person, would know if she could keep Sableye on her journey and whether or not she could acquire a starter because of that. However, her Sableye (which, despite being the least strong of Steph's Hoenn team, was still at a high level) accidentally activated a machine in Professor Idaho's lab, which somehow reduced its level down to level thirteen, giving Steph another reason to ask Professor Idaho's help. (hopefully, the machine lowered its level enough for the situation to be reasonable.)
