Background: Derek was raised in a family who adopted him. He has always looked up to every pokemon professor and wishes to one day own the best pokemon school in all of the pokemon world! He once had a growlithe that was stolen by some poke-thiefs. He will never forget that day and sometimes has nightmares about it. Ever since he stares off into space and can sometimes get very tempered around certain people. His adoption father is usually off gambling on pokemon fights. He loves his adoption mother whom loves him back, but his mother is usually very sick. He also wishes to one day find a cure for any sickness to make his mother better one day.
