hey its jjmonkeyman but with a new name. here are some sprites that i have been working on. this is my best bunch. comments and critisisims welcome.

Well you're definitely getting better! I think the eyes are probably the weakest there (orbs are hard to pull off right, they do strange things to shading). The turtle with the net for a tail is the strongest, but you could do with making the head a little clearer (changing the head's outline to black awhere it joins on to the body would take care of that). Also, the perspective seems a little odd (I get the impression that from that angle, the fins that face away from teh viewer should be on the bottom, not sticking out of the tip - they look much longer).
The shading on the voodoo doll is pretty good, but you've got some outline issues there (you need to avoid those L shapes).
Keep it up, you're getting there.
