I remember when you suggested this, its very cute, But the shine(if there is any) doesnt, like, stand out.

Blinkx, if you take a look at the D/P sprites you'll notice that they have little to no highlights (or "shine" as you called it.) Which is one of the thinks that annoys me about D/P sprites, but I'm sure I'll get over it.

In any case, they look like a rather good try at the D/P style. I'd say what you ned to pay the most attention to is the outline; the black should mostly be outlining the shadowed areas of the sprite.
Hmm, now that I take a closer look at some D/P sprites, I notice that they do have a lot more black outlines than previous ones. But they still generally follow the rule of lighter areas having colored outlines.
