I'm just getting weirded out from those other topics in the Suggest a Pokemon ummm.. part, "Alien Yeti" etc. just popped up from nowhere, and it says someone replied or edited recently, but I couldn't find any!

That's because you probable never venture out beyond page one! It was a page or few ago and I posted in it!

I know what your saying. Its happening in loads. No new posts, no edits beyond a date ages ago...suddenly on the first page.

The reason is twofold:
- in the topics that appear as new, but nothing is visible (posts or edits) there were new posts, but I deleted them since they were spam;
- for topics on page 9 etc.: due to all the recent spam, I was forced to lock all topics that could be locked in the Suggest A Pokmon forum; unfortunately, locking sometimes causes a shake-up in the order of topics -_-;
