Toxot was mattgcn2 - he made the SHoddy Battle topic in Feedback. HE just became... inactive. He's been inactive for years, but the staff just didn't remove him til DP switch. If he became active, he'd totally be back though.

(Sorry about calling him a "they"----the problem is that I was not sure about their gender, and unfortunately the only conventional gender-neutral word in English is "it", which I could not use since he is a human....thus, I have a habit of calling persons of gender I do not know "they".)

On a more conventional note, if Hisutata lives only deep inside active volcanoes, which no person would ever feasibly be able to tread in, how does anyone even know about its existence in the first place? I presume it never appeared before humans, or no person ever asked a Magmar if it saw anything suspicious.

Another question: Is Ninjami (probably) inherently poisonous/venomous, or does it sequester venom from its diet of deadly berries, which it is so connected or correlated to as to comprise half of its typing?

Yet another question: How many Staff members are "conventional" legendaries? Most legendaries seem to have no or few "duplicate" members of its species, so Ninjami is unusual, as is Quazaplat, who, seemingly being the "Legendary of Mad Skillz", has an unusual quality to attest to. Then again...there is Heatran, the convention-breaking yet official legendary....

mattgcn2 is most definitely NOT Toxot. Toxot was Blinx900, who stayed active for like a day after he became staff, and then disappeared into the depths of the unknown.

You would probably have to speak directly to the ex-staff themselves to get the answers to those questions, although I'm pretty sure that most Staff members are considered one-off legendaries, until they leave the boards, and then we do as we please with their avatar (e.g. Niklus).

As for my opinions on Coolsteph's questions about Hisutatu and Ninjami:

For Hisutatu, the same reason why a book in Platinum says that Manaphy lives deep in the sea and nobody has ever seen it, yet has a picture: It is a legend that just happens to be true. It is also why they call them legendaries, as nobody (except the player) can prove their existance.

Now for Ninjami: I think it might have a slight amount of poison, maybe in their tail, but it is strengthened and spread to other parts of the body via the poison berries.

These are just my opinions, so feel free to ignore them.

Also, Coolsteph - sorry, I didn't mean to emphasize the "He" - I just have a bad habit of not taking my finger off of the Shift key fast enough.

That said, though, the Superdex takes pride in being as complete as possible, so Staff entries in the Superdex actually include both Shiny and Shadow versions of us, regardless of whether or not it's possible.

Technically speaking, there is actually ALWAYS a 1 in 8192 (~0.01%) chance of an encountered wild pokemon being shiny, no matter what. The percentile chance is milliscopically larger, but I didn't want to try to post that many digits. if you want to know the exact number, divide 1 by 8192, and multiply the result by 100 to get the percent value.

Immaterial. I know that's true in the games, but the Staff's identities as Legendary Pokémon are set to the point where we know whether or not we are Shiny. An individual pokémon that is not shiny cannot later become Shiny.
...well, actually, with ShinE on Staff that's technically not true...darnit, I guess ShinE's ability to make a pokémon Shiny invalidates my whole point. Carry on, then.

Omg... I miss Blinx900 Q_Q The jerk became staff before me, and yet disappeared before I made staff... We joined the same day too I think. We used to stay up for hours commenting on each others suggestions. Nah, but he was disappearing on and off for a long time. I remember cuz I used to do the RPG with him and it became to the point where he was just quiting certain forums and then stopped altogether. He's a few years older then me (2 or 3 if I can remember correctly), so I bet it's college, =p

And geez, why don't you people let this topic die?! Haha, I made this thread 4 years ago. I mean, wow, this is like... memories. It's still holding interest somehow. Amazing... >_< actually, since I'm working on something related to this, keep it going. Haha.
