I have a few questions.
1. When suggestions are opened again should we include gender differences?
2. When is the soonest we can submit ideas again?
3. Not really a question but more of an idea: you should submit all the pokemon to Nintendo and hope they put them in Gen V.

1. I'll leave this one to the Staff, but on the whole I'd say no, because the ideas that are ready to be approved but waiting for suggestion return do not include gender differences (i.e. Holltrie and the Farfetch'dvolutions).

2. When the words:
Suggestions Closure

We've started working on the switch to a D/P format. Because of this, suggestions are closed for the time being. You can still work on existing Community projects, but new ones will be closed until we reopen.
:are no longer displayed on every page, though if you wanted a timeframe, my own personal pickings-upon would indicate within the next two months.

3. To be honest, that would be a total waste of time and rather against the point of fan Pokmon. Why would we want to give Nintendo our often superior (come on, the PF's Pokmon are vastly better) ideas? And also, there are the three fan types to consider Magic, Light and Wind.

When suggestions reopen we will update the form used to suggest pokmon. You will be allowed to create gender differences for your pokmon but you don't have to if you would rather not.

I actually don't have an idea of when suggestions will reopen but comparing the time left to the time we've spent already, I'd definitely say that we're getting close.

Actually MisterSmeargle, I don't think that would be a waste of time or against the point of fan pokmon. Fan pokmon are created when we aren't satisfied with Nintendo's pokmon. If Nintendo created pokmon that we wanted and that satisfied us then we wouldn't be here right now. I've actually thought about what would happen if we offered Nintendo our pokmon. I don't know if they would accept us or reject us, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

Pokmon Royal Purple-Shadows of the Past
Every hundred thousand years, all the Legendary Pokmon migrate to Annohis to slumber for a year. However Mewtwo, Deoxys and XD001 are also drawn here to sleep and the combined power of the Legendaries will be extremely disruptive. But if one of the Seven Lost Ones, the Legendary Pokmon that are either locked in eternal slumber or another dimension were to arrive, it could tear apart the very fabric of reality.
Set in the region of Annohis, you play a young child who sets off with his/her Swinub to take on the Elder Quest but soon gets entangled in the twisted plots of Organisation Frozen Shadow and become the student of various legendary experts, including Alex, Maxie, Archie and Eusine. For if the OFS succeed in bringing Giratina to our world, the combined power of all the present Legendary Pokmon would tear the Universe in half.

Personally, I didn't start inventing pokmon because of being unsatisfied with Nintendo's. I did it because, when I started, there were just not that many (It was the RBY era) and there were lots of animals that were left behind. I came to PF with the intention of showcasing them to other fans, though in the end I got much more than I expected.

Anyway, Nintendo would never accept our pokmon (or any other site's fakmon for that matter). It's not about quality, it brings them copyright problems. Same reason why writers don't accept ideas from fans either: they don't want to risk lawsuits.

I came across the PF while looking at the Serebii Fake Pokmon Page.

I agree with you Antarctros, I come up with fan Pokmon for the fun and pride of making them.

I love fan based pokemon, but I love Nintendo Pokemon even more. The only reason is I can do more things with Official ones, such as play high quality games. This site is definately the best place for fan pokemon, and I can remember when it was just starting out... ah, good memories of slime and cyborg pikachus.
