I'm in Hawaii man so none of that ever happens. Besides. The people here think that if you like pokemon, your a ****en bi***. So I can't buy anything like that if someone I know is around. I managed to get Mew though from a friend.

I live in Peru. South America. Let me tell you that Nintendo will never ever come here for anything, and games as well as game systems cost considerably more. Antarctross, who lives in Argentina (I believe), has never played a Pokmon game. Honestly, its bad, but its not worth complaining about constantly...

In Argentina's particular case, games and consoles are about three and a half times more expensive than in the USA and many other countries, and even more. For instance, take the Playstation 2. According to Wikipedia, the price in the USA is about US$ 129.99. AU$199.95 in your country. But in our local currency it costs... $1,299!!! That's more than the wage of our average worker!!!

I traded for Mew Helldude. I am off a lot worse than you (not as much as South Americans). Pokemon Events never come anywhere in the Hawaiian Islands! Besides, if they did, it wouldn't be on my island! At least you get those! I missed one in New York by 1 day once and I didn't complain to anyone. So stop complaining!!!!!!

Macroeconomics isn't my favorate subject. I never get how exchange rate goes. Canadian dollar is supposedly worth more than the american dollar, yet you still pay two dollars for a pepsi.

Yes, I miss the days when games payed for themselves. Now with concern for style over substance, we go through games within days. Do you remember how long it took you to beat mario bros the first time? And that game didn't let you save, either. I beat Ultimate Spiderman in two days. And I spent most of that time enjoying the web slinging experience (great story, tho. Too bad it wasn't cannon) Hopefully the new systems will get us out of that rut. Zelda looks to be worth at least a month or two of play, and maybe longer if I keep away from the temptation of gamefaqs.com.

Yeah, I flew through Sonic Adventure, and I still haven't completed the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Games are getting easier, I guess it's to make it available to a wider audience like, people who get bored of it quickly. Why buy something you're going to be bored with after 3 hours of play?

I agree about Twilight Princess. Took me ages to complete Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time, so hopefully they'll keep it up. On the other hand, I loved the celtic style on WW... I hope TP at least lives up to it, if not in the same way.

=_= I just got Ocarina of Time two weeks ago, and that Kirby game, theres going to be a game just like it for the Wii, I saw the preview on youtube.

I have Sonic The Hedgehog on my Cell Phone and for some reason I find it easier than the system version. Its not because you can skip to the final level, I play fairly. I only ever play the system version for Debug mode, Its fun to be a flying ring. <3

A shame Nintendo only visits us Americans. They should have made it "Journey across Earth," so everyone could have gotten Celebi and Mew. Ah well. What's done is done.

BMP (Bite my Pikachu) is a member from other boards closely linked to this one, such as Archives of the Shadow Realm.

Oh, and games are currently coming out faster. Before it was Nintendo and a bunch of third party companies. Now its Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft along with a ton of third party companies. Videogames have become a much more profitable business, shown by all the TV series and such that want videogame versions. Videogames come out faster and in much larger quantities, and technological advances permit more and more realistic graphics every time. Basically this means style over substance, because if your game doesnt look good chances are it wont sell well. That and experimentation with new series and styles is becoming more and more scarce because the industry wants to play self and only release titles of already successful series.

Its sort of what like happened to the movie industry.

Yeah, but Nintendo seems to be more likely to experiment with new gameplay and styles, instead of improving their graphics. Their most recent game system (the DS) and their next console (the Wii, which was codenamed the Revolution for a good reason) are good examples of how they promote innovation. Of course, they certainly do improve the graphics over time (no matter how good and innovative the games are, we'd start to get tired of them if they all had the graphic styles of NES games), and they've had their share of bad games based on movies/tv shows or games that are basically copying the formula of other popular games, but nevertheless Nintendo, in my opinion, does tend to be the most innovative and most likely to value substance over style.

Hawaii isn't great... I actually miss New York. I feel more like a New Yorker in a way because I lived there for six out of thirteen years. The first six so I feel pretty close... I do have better friends here though... Look, Caddisfly, if you are white, you'll be teased to death if you live here. I'm asian so I get fewer F**K you's than others but my parents are white so... I saw a bumper sticker last year saying

Of course you will have a great time if you ignore all that stuff and go to really fancy restaurants and super tourist attractions. So if you do come to hawaii again - don't ask a philipino or hawaiian person for directions. You are pretty liable to get a rude remark, the middle finger, or given wrong directions. I'm just saying all of this so you realize how much I dislike being here. I do have great friends though.

But some lady( I think she was white), gave me the finger! I should've went over there and ripped it right off her hand and shoved it right down her throat! I mean come on! Racism is so old! Although it still exists unfortunatley. If anybody should be racists, it should be well in America, our greats and grands. They grew up in that mess and some of our parents. But it's sad. You can tell a person that we're all the same and stuff but they won't care! I'm defitnitley not racist. I want some other- than-african-american friends!!!!
