If you go to The APCC, go down the front news page until you come to an update that mentions Japanese and English RS screenshots. Click for English screenshots. When you scroll down, you will come to the first three lines of a dex for Skitty. I looked for a line that stretched the whole length of the dex, and it was 40 characters. So I think the format for RS dexes are 40 characters to a line. I think they kept the six-line format.

Doesn't help. What you might not have noticed is that the letter 'I' takes up a lot less space than most of the other letters there. RS's pokdex font is variable-width, which means the maximum line length can no longer be expressed in terms of number of characters. This is a problem that the staff of the Pokmon Factory is going to be devoting some serious time to solving.

This is going to be hard indeed...
How about taking the widest letter and see how many times it fits on a line and taking that number as a maximum?

What do you think of that?

It is said on www.pokefor.tk that the Japanese version DOES have a fixed width fond.
And, if you give name your Pokmon in the Japanese version with our letters and you trade your Poke to the English version it will keep the fixed width fond.

Maybe you could use this info?

I have Ru and Sa, and i'm playing Sa. The dexes, being bigger, allow sentences to be more complete. But nearly 2/3rds of all the Pokemon I've got rarely use all of the pokedex's ample space. Most use all of the first page, and the first 2 lines of the next.

Well, we need a GIF version of the dex to copy from, really. JPGs have too much colour distortion to get the proper hue right.

and look at the dexes, for example of Hitmonarch.

Maybe you could use some of this?

BTW I think the Kelpour trio shows great talent!

Erm...that unprofessional look is exactly what we're trying to avoid. If it were that simple we wouldn't have had to close the board in the first place.

Wow! That girl sure is a good drawer! The dexes are well, to be frank, ours are much better. But her drawings are cool! I noticed that with those new ones she made, she made one called Wispup and whats weird about it is I made something exactly like that that I was still working out the dex for. And that Blumega is a bit like that dolphin one I made up too with the legs and tail. Scary....

Yeah, the drawlings are amazing. The detail of her Pokmon is pretty amazing, too. This is the kind of this I always wanted to do. Next chance I get I'm signing up for a web designing class.
