That's can't be right, because you forgot dugtrio is in the same spot. Maybe between dugtrio and onix.

Squirrelay means make a line after that, so thta can be right. that is a good place, and could it possibly be under the line with Ponyta and Rapidash?

Squirrelay made a good guess, but it won't be placed there. As seen in the Placings List, they are found in volcanic areas, not in the mountain area of Diglett, Onix and Geodude.
So, where would volcanic cavern pokémon be placed? Which other line of pokémon is well-known to live there?

@Alpaquick: both Vulpix and Growlithe aren't necessarily found in volcanic caverns ^-^

The sprites of Shieldrate, Boilder and Golava are up! Congrats to soble for being the first to guess the pokémon, hint and location correctly!

The hint "Run baby, run" was taken from many songs that have it as their title, and refers to them being the runner-up, and the fact that you'd better run away from them.

That was tricky. I said where I did because they always reminded me of the Geodude line, but then again that is not how you place pokemon. I like the new sprites.

Wow, the new sprites are amazing! I really like the new Boilder the most, that grin is just priceless.

@Squirrelay: Yeah, I had considered placing near Geodude and co., but since the National Dex is location-based, I had to look at the Placings List ^-^ Glad you like the sprites!

@Alpaquick: Heheh, yeah, I was really fond that the grin turned out as Antarctros' sketch intended it, and that I managed to give it a truly rocky grin XD

Because they are based on the volcanic rock that is shot at a volcano, and you better run if one of these guys are coming towards you. They're literally on fire!
Anyway, they're good. i don't know how they are compared to their old self, but I bet Golava is five times better ^.^

Surprisingly enough, I think the evolutions could be larger. But I'm not the creator. I like the detail of the sprite though.

@soble: Yeah, the HTs of Boilder and Golava surprised me too. It does make them stand out, though, which is why I translated the HTs the original suggestor provided us with into these new sprites.
You can be sure their random info will provide us with an explanation for their size, though ;P

Random Shieldrate, Boilder, Golava Info:

When a Shieldrate or a Boilder evolves, unlike most Pokémon, they hardly grow in size. Why this is, is a question that has been bothering Pokémon scientists for quite some time now. Recently, they asked Pokémon observers to pay close attention to the evolutionary aspects of the Shieldrate family. In the observers' report it is noted that the family's evolution works differently from most Pokémon. When a Shieldrate or a Boilder evolves, the process they go through is all about adding layers of very hard, grey stones. These stones get attached to Shieldrate's rock-hard shield, which give Boulder its mixed composure of brown and grey rocks. When a Boilder evolves, even more of the same grey stones attach to its body, covering it almost completely - only leaving open some cracks in its back to allow its fire a way out - and even forming arms. Although their rocky texture is enriched and hardened this way, this only adds to their weight, but hardly to their height.

LATER: I know this is not about the Shieldrate line, but we have Florabloom in the Nat'l Dex, but not Florabin. Can we do something about that?

Florabloom was a hidden gift and acts like a promational pokémon for the upcoming DP-style Archives. Its evolutionary connection to Florabin has not been fully revealed yet, as there's still little known about it, apart from its appearance. That is why its shiny version is not yet available and that is also why Florabin hasn't appeared.
