Despite their looks, Upsidaze's horns are actually quite soft. When observing the Upsidaze, pokémon observers discovered that the horns are not used to attack prey or foes, but instead they are used as 'cushions' that protect its body from collisions with anything it might bump into. Its otherwise pointless feet serve a similar purpose. One might compare them to airbags in a car. The softness of the horns was one of those rare occasions during which the observers did not mind getting hit by a horn...

It is unknown what the nature is of Upsidaze's gravity, or towards which object in space it is drawn. The only possible way to find out would be to prevent an Upsidaze from grabbing hold of something with its hook. However, not only is that very difficult considering the Upsidaze's skill at grabbing things, but no pokémon observer would be cruel enough to do so considering their love for their study objects.
In fact, there have been occasions during which the observers saved an Upsidaze from falling upwards. It is likely that the Upsidaze only faked being in danger and wanted to play with the observers. Once rescued, the Upsidaze used its powers to lift the observers up into the air and multiple of them started to laugh and sing happily. While filled with good intentions, their blank smiles and odd behaviour tended to creep the observers out.

Unlike Upsidaze, Frefella do not have the tendency to fall upwards. However, it is not attracted by Earth's gravity either. Being completely immune to gravitational forces, all Frefella do is floating around aimlessly. Whenever it wants to eat, or just likes to hang around at a certain location, it will use the suction cup that hangs from its head to attach itself to any object it likes. The suction cup provides it with way more freedom to stay at places than its hook did. Pokémon observers reported that the suction is able to attach to virtually anything, even trousers or shirts...

I wouldn't say that Frefella can move against the wind. They both float around aimlessly, and get pushed around by winds. The only difference is that if Drifloon would lose its ability to float (because it looses air inside, or gets an item attached, or something like that), it will lower to the ground because Earth's gravity works on it. That gravity does not work on Frefella, which therefore will never get pulled towards the ground.

Uh-oh. Well at least the observers won't have any trouble if they want to bring a specimen to the lab for any reason.

All Frefella do all day long is floating around aimlessly. They really enjoy doing so, and whenever they float around, they end up in a state that is best described as thoughtless. By nature it therefore has a hard time focusing, because its attention continuously drifts away. Trainers are often having a hard time letting their Frefella focus on the battle they are involved in. It generally takes a painful attack from the foe to bring it back to its senses. When that has happened, though, Frefella prove to be a reliable partner. In the wild, the same thing can be said, since Frefella act rather annoyed when disturbed while floating about. Whenever they are disturbed, they will focus all their attention upon ways to get rid of the source of the disturbance. This makes Frefella a study object which needs to be approached with the uttermost care, to say the least.

Well, the Frefella can get themselves to the observers to be a study object, as long as the observers are sweet on the Frefella once they are attached.
