Congrats to all who found the new Arceus! ^^ I've been dying to see decent Sugimori art of Arceus, as I consider the current sprites we have of it crappy and not legendary enough for a pokémon this amazingly strong and unique. So, as soon as I noticed its Sugimori art and new pose in the Coro coro scans, I started spriting Sugimori's art right away ^-^ I'm very glad you all like how it turned out, 'cause it took me quite a while to do it (not to mention the different plate versions and the shinies).

@Flarsable: The term "masterpiece" is an enormous compliment ^^ Thanks! As for the 'how': By combining years of spriting experience, hours of work and awesome Sugimori art ^-^ As for the why: Arceus needed a truly awesome sprite, because of how awesome it is itself. Its current sprite lacked awesomeness.

Don't worry, that is how it is meant to be ^^ The gaps are spots reserved for pokémon that don't have a DP sprite yet. For example: there is a gap in front of Smeargle, which is reserved for PF's Smudge. Without the gaps, evolution chains wouldn't be on the same line, so that's why they're there ^-^
