Just another gimmick drop in the gimmick bucket, not necesarily trying to rip off Pokemon, since everyone tried to hop on the whole 'collectable monster' bandwagon, including Capcom, partially, with metal walker and RMEXE1/2 (notices the way that looks and gets an evil idea. 'Whenever the PET gets doused, Rockman becomes Rockwoman!'). I've actually seen only one true RIPOFF of Pokemon, which was Robopon, and it ripped off MR, PKMN, and probably Digimon as well. They spent so much time tricking out the cartridge they forgot to MAKE A DECENT GAME. Hopefully nobody much wasted money on the thing.

I wrote one of those once, in, completely like m own style, completely NOT the style anyone else did. My character and his buds were responsible, or closely linked to, most of the destruction and massive changes that happened between RBY and GSC. They were there when the volcano went boom. Come to think of it, I might just write some more of that... Imagine, two hyperpowered psychic kittens, overly affectionate ones, tacklehugging Prof Oak near to death.

That also brings up an evil, and extremely hokey idea about PKMN and FFT. In FF Tactics, you can have monsters on your team, and one character is names Agrias OAK, or was it Oaks? Either, way, It's getting a mediator class Agrias with a whip weapon, secret hunt, all the monster related skills, and having the entire rest of the team, plus guest, be monsters of various types. 'King Behemoth, GOOOO!'. Campy, no?
