Yeah, that's what I said when someone once told me about that scene from Napoleon Dynamite. But apperantly the main character doesn't know the difference, or made up his own combination or something.

Yeah its supposed to be based off of Napolean Dynamite. And manticores have scorpion tails and bat wings.

Correction: A manticore is a mythical beast said to have been one of the offspring of the 10000 headed dragon. It's siblings were the Nemean Lion, the Sphinx, Hydra, and the Chimera. But here's the correction on Blinx's description. The manticore had the head of a man on the body of a lion. Okay. It sounds like I'm thinking about the Sphinx. Nuh uh. The manticore's distinct feature was a loose jaw carrying rows and rows of sharp teeth. Teeth going right to it's stomach. I think you must've gotten your idea from a video game Blinx.

Uh, it' a mythical beast, so it doesn't actually exist enough for one to get a good scietific classifcation of it, so there's not much point arguing over what it LOOKS like. The ususal depiction of a manticore is Lion's body, scorpion tail, bat wings. Obviously this changes between the source of the legend or the fantasy writer of your choice.

yes, it would be an SE. But, you could turn this around to Pokmon gag it. Make it a cross between a Arcanite and a Simblare. Then use exact wording with everything else and put and the crappiest looking sprite possible. Thus amalgamative parody.
