I HATE the anime. I repeat: I HATE THE ANIME!!!! Here's basically what they the end of each episode:
Team Rocket blast into the stratosphere, saying the line that I will not repeat, the characters that you will never see again come from out of nowhere, the sorta-bad guy comes over and appoligizes, Ash says, "Let's be friends, even though you tried to kill us," their new friends wave them goodbye as Ash, Brock, and the default female character from the current generation of games walk into the sunset.

I tame the burninators.

Here's how the Slakoth line really goes through evolution:

Slakoth drinks a Red Bull, causing it to get hyper and evolve into Vigoroth.
The caffeine rush ends, causing Vigoroth to evolve into Slaking.
