Which one is shooter of the year? Halo Reach or Call of Duty: Black Ops?
For me, I say Halo Reach. Black Ops looks good, but didn't really change much, the story looks a little weird at times, JFK's voice sounds weirder, it's been compared to World at War a lot (my least favorite of the series), and some of the new features, like currency, people said didn't work well. That is a lot of negative points there, and I haven't played the game, and while I do think it looks great, it doesn't look like the best. Halo Reach, however, had a great campaign, vastly improved Forge, created awesome new gametypes (Invasion, for starters), gave Elites an awesome role, greatly improved the graphics, introduced armor abilities, has some awesome new vehicles, and all in all is really fun to play.
Halo Reach: 1 (Daniel Wood)
Black Ops:
P.S.: If there are any of the rare Medal of Honor fans hiding here, and they vote for it, I will put it up. Or Goldeneye.
Also, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, etc... don't count as shooters. Those 2 are RPG and Adventure/Sandbox.
