Here you maybe thinking "Oh that is such a lie".

Let me tell you this. I've been on a Sonic forum and as soon as Sonic was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl the whole thing went crazy!

I'm now on Gaia Online and you can't escape the game anywhere. NOT EVEN GOOGLE!

My thoughts is that SSBB is one of the most overhyped games of all time. If not, THE most.

GTAIV DESERVES the hype. All the GTA games have been great. I was so hyped for it! But with SSBB. I don't even know what's so good about it. Yeah yeah, Solid Snake is in it but no. It is NOT the best game ever.

Discuss on my rant.

You want to elaborate on why you don't think Brawl deserves the hype it gets? Because you didn't actually go into detail. You just said that Brawl wasn't the best game ever, and that could very well be true, but you never actually explained why you think that way. =\

I agree, Brawl isn't the best game ever. Most games like Brawl that get so much hype turn out to be... overrated. I mean, I like Brawl. I play it every once in a while. But really, no game deserves the title "Best Game Ever". Take Halo 3, for instance. People just would NOT shut up about it. When it came out, all reviewers were saying is that it was decent. No, people said it was a gaming revolution, that it brought so much new things to the gaming world.

It didn't.

So really, there is no best game ever. Except Magical Adventure Dizzy, but who played that except me?

Sorry, but Brawl IS the best game ever. I just got it on Friday, and I haven't stopped playing at all. I have been on it at least 10 hours. In two days. And I can't stop. Only thing that's going to break me is school. Which i stupid, since Smash Bros teaches me everything I need to know. Through trophies. Suck on that, Education System!

The best game ever may not exist but the Paper Mario series still control your reality heh heh heh.
Now, such a concept as " the best game ever", or the more fanboyistic version "Best. Game. Ever." will not exist as long as everyone have different opinions about what makes a video game great: gameplay, graphics, multiplayer, difficulty options, level of interaction, novel-like stories, freedom of exploration, adrenaline rush, fatalities, crossovers, cool worlds and bosses, etc.

1. Smash Bros Melee
2. LoZ: Orcarina of Time
3. LoZ: Twilight Princess
4. Smash Bros Brawl
5. The World Ends with You

I tame the burninators.

Here's how the Slakoth line really goes through evolution:

Slakoth drinks a Red Bull, causing it to get hyper and evolve into Vigoroth.
The caffeine rush ends, causing Vigoroth to evolve into Slaking.

Sounds to me like you haven't played SSBB. If you'd played it, you'd know.

No game is THE best game ever, it's all subjective opinion. To be honest, yo'd have to go a long way to beat Tetris in terms of simplicity and mass appeal. Or Space Invaders.

I'm not sure about brawl just yet. It's very good, I think better than Mellee, but there are a few issues, mainly loading times. There's always a gap when it loads a new character (like when you die in SSE, or Team Whoever classic matches) which gets annoying. However, SSE is good enough that it could have been a game in its own right; there's purely so much in SSBB that it'll be a long time until you're done with it (it almost wins best game ever by having so much content). It also has a huge nostalgia factor that games like Halo and GTA can't match.

As for GTA deserving the hype, it got hyped up plently. It got midnight release here, which is more than SSBB got (and I know because I covered the GTA release for my radio show).

I like different games for different reasons, so i can't really make an ordered list. SSBB, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Cave Story, Pokémon...

I'm actually one of the few people who haven't played Brawl OR Ocarina of Time. I DO want Brawl, though.

Since people are posting their favorite games, I'll jump on the bandwagon. Games not in any order.

As for I Wanna Be The Guy...

I would link it, but there's a bit of profanity on the site (not in the actual game). If I recall correctly, this is a kid-friendly forum. Oh well. Just search Google for "I Wanna Be The Guy" or "IWTBG." Chances are that it's the first on the list.

I Wanna Be The Guy is a game so infuriatingly hard, you'll end up destroying more than one keyboard out of frustration. Basic controls...you can walk with the arrow keys, Z lets you shoot, and left shift lets you jump. Note, you can double-jump. Sounds simple, right? Here's the kicker. Everything can kill you. This game shows you no mercy. From spikes to falling blocks to even giant fruit, the slightest brush with anything bad kills you instantly. If you come across a save block, for the love of all that is right in this world, shoot it. It saves your progress, as you may have guessed. You have to maneuver your way through many many traps. Oh, and there's boss fights, too. The nice thing about the game is that if you manage to get past a part that you thought was impossible, it's a lot easier to do if you have to do it again.

Expect to see the "Game Over" screen a lot. My sanity went for a week before I was able to beat it. If you manage to do so, then give yourself a pat on the back.
