Well, they're all ready for it: 16 (new) random pokmon are standing in line to face off against eachother for your popularity-votes. Let the first contest of 2006 begin!

The first participant is a highly popular pokmon, that is considered by many to be the Water-type starter. It is one of the very few pokmon that is capable of learning the unique Water-type move Hydro Cannon, and if it weren't for the move's availability to starters, this pokmon would have definately earned it by its looks. Its cannons are capable of shooting water bubbles very accurately, and allow it to execute high-speed tackles. The first contestant is: #009 Blastoise!

Blastoise faces off against a bug with magical properties, and a nature that is dispiced by many. Lots of books have fallen prey to this pokmon, but old magical books are definately its favorite. It leaves behind a trail of magic powder, that is said to be essential to the succes of all kinds of magical spells. The second contestant is: #PF079 Sorcilver!

My vote is Blastoise. It was my starter on Blue and I have a special feeling about it. And it's one of my favorites. Blastoise to the win!!! :P
But I like Sorcilver also.

Squirtle = my love from Red version. Brother's charizard = pwnt.

Blastoise was one of the few Pokemon I trained to lv 100, so it gets my vote.

Just for the record: I would've voted for Sorcilver, but seeing how that would result in a draw, I'll just abstain. Blastoise beats Sorcilver with 3 to 2 votes.

The next contestant is a pokmon that has recently been provided with an evolution by Nintendo. It has rather sharp claws and a mean nature. It will search for ungarded nests to steal the eggs that are inside of them. Its unique type combination was previously rivaled by PF's Windigore, but that pokmon now appears to have a closer affinity with the new Wind-type. The third pokmon is: #215 Sneasel!

Sneasel faces off against a relative of Blastoise. This pokmon's characterized by its long and large tail, which tend to deepen in color as the pokmon ages. It uses its ears to maintain balance in the water and reach high speed, seeing that it hasn't got any cannons yet to do so. The fourth contestant is: #008 Wartortle!

I'll vote Wartortle on this one. I never did like Sneasel's name; sounds too much like "sneeze" to me.

Sneasel, as it was part of my Crystal squad (Silver too possibly, I can't remember). Well, it's GSC generation anyway.

I'm not going to vote for Wartortle for the reason mentioned above. Sneasel isn't one of my favorites, not that I dislike it though. Its coming evo looks pretty cool

Sneasel beats Wartortle with 3 to 2 votes.

The next contestant is in fact a prototype of a very well known virtual pokmon. Instead of being fully 3-D, this pokmon is entirely flat, and consists of pixels. Therefore, it can only face left or right. Its signature code is CPU-18648, and to evolve, it needs to spend at least 10 days in a computer. The fourth participant is: #FA031 Protogon!

Protogon faces off against a rather scary pokmon, that is said to be the King of the Graveyard. Its body exists merely of ash, while its cloth is burning red-cold fire. It can sneak up on anyone, and ignite them as it pleases with its torches. Even other Ghost-type pokmon fear its icecold attitude, getting rid of anything or anyone that challenges its might. The fifth contestant is: #PF265 Poetorch!

LOL, yeah. I'll vote for Poetorch as well, mainly because it's mine, but a Ghost/Fire type really rules, and so do poes in general :P

Poetorch wins with 5 to 1 votes! Massive support, I'd say.

The next contestant is a popular pokmon that has already appeared once in the history of the RPC (the first one, to be precise), and it took the massive popularity of Poliwhirl to knock it out off the contest - still ending fourth though. This cute plant rides on the wind, and had its type changed by PF from Flying to Wind. It prefers southern winds to ride on over the sea, and will land as soon as it encounters cold air. The seventh pokmon is: #189 Jumpluff!

Jumpluff faces off against an imp, and a cursed one in that. It is bound by chains, and if it has bad luck, it will be chained to other creatures or things. That chain can then only be released once this pokmon is captured. Oddly enough, the lock from its chains, to which it holds the key in its hands, is located in its head... The eighth contestant is: #PF179 Managhoul!
