Hold on. I think that Sepiroth is an epic boss, cause, in KH and KH2, he can kill you quickly if you make one mistake. Wait, which Cyrus are you talking about? Is it Cyrus from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, or a different Cyrus?

There's really no need for me to elaborate is there.

Close second, even though I like his case better:

(i don't actually think of dekiller as the boss, but i'm guessing not everybody's played the jfa last case yet)

Kefka was even more nihilistic than Cyrus. At least Cyrus intended to replace all that existence he destroyed with another one.

think she was that good of a villain. I mean what, three crimes, two murders, one failed, both of which she got convicted for already, already executed? She wasn't really that much of a villain compared to the god of prosecution and the twisted demon celebrity actor who actually managed to succeed at various crimes and the assassin who survived for 100s of years pulling off perfect murders. Compared to them, a spoiled little brat who tries to manipulate people and succeeds exactly once with terry fawles and every other time has her petty little squabbles torn apart in court doesn't really compare. I'll concede that she had the best witness breakdown though.

And yes, I consider Matt Engarde the final boss in jfa.

I'm going to go with two bosses. WARNING: SPOILERS!!!
Clockwerk from Sly Cooper Theivious Raccoonus: He had such a fun boss fight, had a great story,(Really? Becoming an immortal robotic owl that uses hatred as fuel?) and the fact that he gets knocked into a volcano(Several times in a span of 15 minutes) and flies out and resumes battling Sly is just amazing.

Arpejio from Sly Cooper 2, Band of Thieves: He's not technically a boss, since he(presumably) dies in the beginning of level 8, but his backstory is one that makes you feel sorry for him. He was a genius, but due to his... Parrot? Due to him being a parrot and all, he never grew to the same size as the other birds, and worked for to remake Clockwerk, and use his body for world domination. Due to the fact that he lead the Klaaw Gang, and made the plot of the game, which was amazing, and since drugs in illegal spices that would cause hypnosis to make zombie hate people in Paris was all thought of by him, the whole game is practically a boss fight against him.
