Kit was glaring at the mayors roadies. He never did understand why one person should get so much protection. When they come into office they should know what thay just stepped into, and besides we can always elect a new one.

"Well, to answer your question, Coggins, Pokemon aren't allowed in the museum; my Infrit, which is the offspring of my Djignitor that I got in Bombur, is the only exception."
He then turned towards the third one.
"So, Kit, Coggins, who is your friend?"

"My name is Gecko. I was....distracted by your Infrit." Indeed, Gecko was distracted by it even now. In the back of his mind it registered that he should sate his curiosity by checking his Pokédex. "If this is from Bombur, does that mean it is included in this region's Pokédex?" Gecko asked the mayor.

"Of course it is!" the Mayor said with a hearty laugh. "Most of Bombur's Pokemon are included in the Rominel Pokedex."
Suddenly, without warning, he moved up closer to the three boys and said with a serious tone:
"Listen, I have the reason why Team Hex attacked you last night; someone told him that one of you had this."
He pulled out a spherical gem that glowed purple.
"This," he added, "is a Soulite, a gem filled with a mysterious and powerful energy, and Rominel's sacred gift; it is said that a rich habitat in Rominel is full of these gems. Team Techno and Team Hex are after these stones; Team Techno is using them to fuel new battle robots, while Team Hex is using them to power up their soul-sucking spells. If any of you find another one of these, bring it immediately to the RCS."
The Mayor then backed up towards his bodyguards and said, "Well, I better head back to Junip City; there's a new Conservation meeting. I hope to see you three soon."
And with that, he, his bodyguards, and his Infrit, who looked back at the boys with a worried look on its face, left the museum.

"Why is Team Techno such a popular conversation topic lately?" Gecko complained loudly enough for Kit and Coggins to hear. He sighed. "Let me guess: either one or both of you are interested in taking down one or both of those crazy organizations?"

(I think Team Techno should crush into the museum when we walk over to the fossil exhibit. So we can meet both of them while we are still early in the story.)

"Yeah, I'm ready to go see the fossils, we did spend a lot of time here though, so I think leaving afterwards is a good idea." Said Coggins, "and yes, I feel like taking down a crazy team or two."

Gecko, not wanting to talk too much, simply followed them to the fossil exhibit.

In a water-filled portion of the exhibit, a Kabuto scuttled on the reinforced glass wall, its underside exposed to passersby. Its red eyes stared at certain people who deigned to look back at it.

"Hey look at that Cranidos, and that Lileep, and over there is a robot.... Wait a minute, ROBOT!"

Kit pointed to the robot with a pixel like "T" on the front. It was kidnapping the fossil Pokemon.

"As much as I want to participate in the action, we're"---Gecko was interrupted by the exclamations of a Cranidos as it tried to defend itself---"-ver our heads. I'm going to look for the security people."

Gecko wondered why they hadn't noticed the robot the moment it had arrived. He ran out from the area and sought security, or at least some tougher Trainers.

"Well we at least need to slow them down. Come on out Cyndaquil."

Cyndaquil shot out of his Pokeball.

"Cynn!"

"Cyndaquil use Smokescreen."

"Cyn!"

An endless puff of smoke came pouring out of Cyndaquil's nose. It created a vial to thick to see through in the case where all the fossil Pokemon were. Kit ran over to the clear door an opened it allowing the Pokemon to escape.

"Coggins, Cyndaquil come on we need to catch up with Gecko."

Gecko reached the "security guards", but one of them (the guy) pinned down Gecko, while the other (the girl) held a remote-control in her hand.
"What?" the girl giggled. "Is the kiddie confused? Well then, we ain't security guards; we are-"
They revealed their true colors, in which they dressed in cybernetic outfits.
"-Team Techno, making a better future for Rominel...every day!"
Suddenly, she punched a button and said,
"Techno-Bot, stop stealing the Pokemon, and stop those two kids!!!!"
The robot screeched to a halt, and then stared at Kit and Coggins with red eyes; then, with a loud buzz, charged directly at the boys.

Gecko was shocked, but he was not paralyzed by his fear. He kicked the 'security guard' holding him down, and the guard howled in pain. Gecko quickly rose, sidestepping the whimpering 'security guard'. The female 'security guard' glared at him. "So you want to fight dirty?"

Well, I wasn't actually aiming for the weak spot... Gecko thought, but he knew the 'security guard' would not care for the specifics. Taking a cue from the others, he reached for Zip's Poké Ball.

ZZZalak!

Something metal shot Zip's Poké Ball away, disarming him.

"Just to be honorable by giving a warning," the female 'security guard' told him as she aimed a strange tubular device at him, "I'm telling you that the next one is going to be electrified."

"Uh oh, that's not good. Gecko!"

Kit stopped running and tossed a Pokeball towards Gecko, then made a sharp left going back into the sculpture exhibit. He quickly noticed a crafting station for kids. Lucky for him there was buckets of Slip on the table. He grabbed two buckets of Slip and poured the contents of one onto him and Cyndaquil making them look like a statue if they stood still. He turned a corner and called Coggins over who has still running away from the robot. He had a plan.

(The Pokeball has Screech in it.)

Gecko caught the Poké Ball and in the process barely dodged the electrified projectile the female 'security guard' launched. It cracked past his ear before skidding harmlessly past.

Gecko let out the Pokémon in the Poké Ball---a Wingull.

"I don't know your attacks! Use whatever you know!"

Screech blasted the female security guard with Water Gun while Gecko ran to retrieve his own Poké Ball. Zip emerged from a stream of light.

"Mud---"

"Not now, Zip! We're in danger! Use...argh, I don't know, Water Gun?"

Zip waved its head fin from side to side, as if saying 'no.'

"Use some sort of attack!"

"Okay, lets see, use Water gun on the robot next, you might be able to short it out," Coggins said while throwing Cinder's pokeball. "Cinders, tackle either one of them when the get up, try and keep them down too."

Coggins heard Kit calling him from around the corner and ran to him. "Cinder follow me, I think the Wingull has those two covered."
