You misunderstand science itself. Science cannot be looked at as a static set of facts to be adhered to. Science is a process. A rigorous, methodical process. You seem to have inserted beliefs into my argument that were not there in the first place. First, I did not state that science is perfect. Of course it isn't. What is perfect? To what standard of perfection could it be held up to? Perfect is a concept as abstract and arbitrary as the notion of god itself. Secondly, I did not state that my status as a scientist makes my words inherently truthful. You have added logical fallacies that I did not include in my argument.

Truth is not measured by the scientific method. It is discovered by it. The purpose of a scientific experiment is to discover, to explain, and to study. The aim is not to prove a theory right - it is to see if a theory is right. A scientist may go into an experiment with a hypothesis, but they are precisely as ready for that hypothesis to be disproven as they are for it to be confirmed. The scientific process is not simply limited to a single experiment - it encompasses the whole of science, the centuries of the pursuit of knowledge, of mankind's attempts to understand the world around him. To simply dismiss science, you must also dismiss all pursuit of knowledge that is based on reason. What reason have you to dismiss science? What reason have you to believe it is not worth your trust, but the concept of an "E-meter" that produces short-term cognitive benefits - likely due to either the Hawthorne Effect, or perhaps a mere placebo - proves that everyone on the planet is an immortal being who reincarnates as a new person every time that they die? You have also, disappointingly, misunderstood the purpose of the peer review. I'll linger no more on your ignorance of scientific practices, however. I find it irrelevant at this point.

What is relevant, is your own contradiction. You have reminded us that science is not perfect, and that simply because an experiment has happened in such a way once, does not prove that it will happen in such a way again. You have also reminded us that science is constantly revising itself, in the pursuit of truth. If you believe these are reasons to distrust science - the willingness to admit that something is wrong, and the willingness to correct the falsehood - then why do you treat it as a perfect proof of Thetans in your original post?

I implore you study a science in detail. Any science. Study the practices, and the facts. Observe the methods. Understand how scientists reach their conclusions. You will find it perfectly reasonable. Then come to the proof offered by the cult you so readily promote. Compare them. Perhaps you will understand then.
