With Black and White sprites being available, it might be wise to start
updating the sprites of the current 493 pokémon on the National Dex page
(the new pokémon will be added after they have received their English
names). Since Nintendo seems to mostly have picked their 'favorite'
sprites of previous generations, there is no reason we can't do the
same.
We will generally use the BW sprite of a certain pokémon, but any time we aren't sure about whether or not the BW sprite is an actual improvement over the current National Dex sprite, we'll hold a poll here to ask for your opinion!
(If we don't hold a poll, we feel strongly about which sprite of a certain pokémon we will use, and we will stick to that decision. Asking us to do so will therefore be of no use.)
We are aware that, generally speaking, since there are some exceptions, that the BW backsprites are bound to the front sprites. If we decide to go with a different sprite, and if the Nintendo pokémon ever makes it to the SuperDex, we will therefore give it an updated backsprite to reflect the front sprite we chose.
