Funnily enough, people do, in fact use Pikachu. you see, the Light Ball doubles his special attack, but not Raichu's. So he has a small advantage.

Hehe, interesting topic - though I do not play competitively(only on DS and in rather limited crew), we play with pretty much one rule: no Ubers.

As for what I would be... doesn't matter how much it would or would not work, it's still my favourite:

BlackPearl / Umbreon @ Leftovers
Jolly(Impish or Careful would be ideal if would bred it again; this was the Eevee I got when going through Pearl)
Synchronize
EV's are roughly split between HP, Def and SpDef

Mean Look
Moonlight
Baton Pass

That moveset, in it's simple beauty, has caused many a hair-tearing experiences because that doggy is so infuriatingly hard to take down if you lack Bug/Fighting types. More so, I'm pretty sure it has caused more than couple "considerations" for training such types(and Steel/Poison types as well) in the nearhood...

Toxic something, then Mean Look. If said something can beat my 'Pearl, proceed to Baton Pass to something that can handle it(like swapping those Steel types to my Camerupt or Ninetales...) - or if he can, then just mock people with repeated Mean Looks until you need to heal... rinse and repeat until they fall to Toxic. Remember to dodge incoming projectiles from the other side of the table.

Yeah I know, current OU metagame is sickeningly full of Steel and Fighting types that this would not work very well... except maybe for the fact that everyone expects Umbreon to have Payback if they see one, it could surprise someone.

Wouldn't really do much good in UU either due to the large number of Poison typers on the loose there.

Sure, in a really competitive surroundings I'd get trashed - but frankly I play too many games to get really competitive in a single one.

Steelix most likely? Well then, problem is that the most likely pokemon to switch in on Umbreon in UU (and I hardly even play UU!) is gonna be Toxicroak. The Poison/Fighting one. Which tends to run Cross Chop. :P But whatever.

My sister has a Toxicroak. I'm not that dense that I would swap from a Fight-weakness to another one. It was just an example. See how much the 'croak does to my Crobat, Camerupt or Grumpig, rather..

BEST. STEEL. EVER. He needs an evo for the good of the people.

Hmm, Sucker Punch might be able to take them down a notch. Mawile is awesome, assuming Choice Band or Scarf. Swords Dance... ain't the best set it can run, cause taking even one hit is bad news for it...

Mawile is such an amazing pokemon. I want it to get some Mawile-only move that Gives +3 Defense and Attack. 8D
Or an evo. Mawile and Sableye evos would be delicious.

The point of this Breloom is to abuse the power of poisoning along with Breloom's high Attack stat. By holding the Toxic Orb, Breloom activates its ability, Poison Heal, to give it a Leftovers effect, as well as doubling Facade's power and protecting it from other statuses, besides confusion & infatuation. Swords Dance can be used to spike it up even higher. ThunderPunch can be used to hit Flying types with their *4 super effective moves. It has maximum Speed, although it will still probably not outrun its competition.

Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Def/4 Sp. Def
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)

Like Breloom before it, Ursaring specializes in using poison to its advantage. It's given maximum Attack, and combined with Guts and Swords Dance, Aerial Ace & Crunch become major firepower. Facade pulls it over the top with 160 base power and STAB, effectively making it stronger than Hyper Beam and without recharge. The point of Aerial Ace & Crunch is to take out super effective Fighting types and pesky Ghosts who are immune to Facade, respectively.

Award for Extreme Patience
Always hotter than the competition. I got the award for Braving the Marquee of Doom!

I'm gonna review those sets very quickly.
Breloom:
It's an alternative set, which is nice just to be alternative and freak people out. The main issues I see are Thunderpunch and Giga Drain. I know you're going for recovery, but Giga Drain is a horrible move on Breloom because of it's low Special Attack. Seed Bomb is always better. Thunderpunch has limited coverage when compared to say, Ice Punch. Stone Edge is an even better option, although that accuracy will screw you over sometimes.
The thing is... that set makes no use of Breloom's biggest asset - Spore. Spore is just a ridiculous move. It's just, put bluntly, not as good as Loom's standard sets. This Loom will get destroyed fairly easily, as it's not built to be a sweeper - its speed is just too low.
Ursaring: Meant to be a tank, eh? The problem here is that you have a sweeping set, as shown by the moves, but Ursaring will die easily to any Special Attacker because of low speed and Sp. Def, and Toxic Orb makes it prone to stall. Breloom recovers - this Ursaring does not. One option is giving it a Flame Orb intead - Guts will cancel out the Attack lowering, and Facade still gets extra power, while the other moves are at normal. Aerial Ace is also not a good option, as aside from taking out Fighting-types, it's pretty useless. EQ instead for massive damage. All this Defense you have goes to waste because of your Toxic Orb - the strategies conflict. If you want to use a Toxic Orb, use it with high Speed, cus you're going to die anyways. Get in, hit hard, and die - that's what Ursaring does best. (Although RestTalk Ursaring is quite interesting.)
