Getting this topic off of cheating devices, I recently beat Gardenia, using just an underleveled, disobeying, Shiny Ponyta, a Super Potion, and EnergyPowder. Something completely unrelated: I'm going to now refer to my Shiny Ponyta as Shinyta. Its nickname is Flamare though.

Traded it from my Pearl, my first shiny from the fourth egg. I wanted a Ponyta, but wanted it from the beggining (as I never use starters), so I just traded it. At level one, though.

After you beat Ash? Well, there's not much. Probably a few little side quest things here and there. But we don't know which other things you've done so far and which you haven't.

You can grab a Kanto starter from Oak, a Hoenn starter from Steven, and find Groudon/Kyogre.

Where do I find Steven? Right now I'm contemplating which Kanto starter I should get. Also, my party right now (some profanity):

Twitch.... Hyper Beam and all its forms are bad...

example: Energy Ball vs Frenzy Plant
Turn 1: 80BP+STAB - 150BP+STAB
Turn 2: 80BP+STAB - No BP
Total Power: 240 - 225 BP

Hyper Beam is even worse because it lacks STAB

Sorry, but I don't have teh cheetpowah to get Energy Ball to mah Sceptile. Also, what solution would you think reasonable to the horrors of my Tyrannitar's Hyper Beam?

For Sceptile, Heart Scale(You can get them with Rock Smash) Leaf blade onto it. Tyranitar needs a Heart Scale to get Rock Slide, unless you have that Stone Edge TM laying around, in which case that would be better.

Also, you're making your poor Tyranitar sad by not making use of it's wonderful Attack Stat!
And no, your team isn't ibad, per se. Except by a competitive standpoint. But raising a competitive team is fun!

He's lying, you hafta breed/catch them until you get one with perfect IV's(Sometimes a perfect Hidden Power), spend a day or so facing the same pokemon over and over again until you've got the right number of EV's, THEN raise it to level 100.... not worth the work to me...
