In many ways, I'm greatly in joy of this, because it's what I wanted. In others, I'm very disappointed, because I won't see the second page until the second week of July...

@Drufle: How do you know that the page won't be up until the second week of July?

I think that was the right decision. It's true that it makes the appearance of new Pokemon less "important", but it helps the site to keep the interest of the people and makes a healthier and much more active community, as impatient people like me, doesn't have to wait that much to see the suggestions made real. I have seen waiting periods of years, and that does not benefit the site at all.

And just a side-note: Will this increase the speed of approvals?

It would not increase the speed of approvals, but we'll see our Pokemon done faster after they are approved.

For me, this was indeed the most important reason to go ahead with this change. Keeping people interested is most important, and it it's important to make the site look more active - because, well, it is active; making high-quality dex shots just takes up time. Showing new dexes more often will probably indeed be better.

Of course, as Miravistel said, those who don't want to see the new dexes early are welcome to not watch. As long as the page isn't fully completed, I will make sure to include a spoilers alert in the topic title.
