But you know, since its name is based off of "basilisk", I was kind of hoping for something more basilisk-like. But it has lots of limbs, which is good enough. Plus I don't think petrification would have fit well with an Electric-type Pokemon.

That's Medusa. Basilisk eyeballs just plain kill you.

Well, the basilisk is a pretty popular creature, known in many different countries, so the legend has many different interpretations depending on who is telling the story at a particular time and place.

Yeah its cute and all, but I think we should have these done first before we have anymore random stuff:

The PF starters in sprite form (besides the Thronado line)

The Watsalisk line in the superdex

The Passabre line in sprite form

Unfinished business should be finished.

@ZeldaFan: it evolves into Munchlax when it levels up while holding Leftovers ^-^

@soble: Perhaps, but you don't know whether or not we are already working on those ;P Yawnlax is a small sprite which is done way sooner than any of the above, so it makes up for a nice quick update. Rest assured, I haven't forgotten about the lines you mentioned, but I'd like to toss in some random surprises as well if those are done faster.
